Episode 18: Shadows of Remnant

Grau kicks Roman in the chest, throwing him to his back and he rolls to his knees.

"End of the line Torchwick..." Grau states, flourishing his sword.

"This is where it ends." he says slowly walking toward Roman, getting ready to stain his uniform blood red.

"Nah..." Roman begins, straightening his hat and looking Grau in the eyes.

"I don't think so..." He says smugly. Grau sneers and lifts his sword above his head to kill the gangster, but before he can throw his sword down, he feels a fist smash into his ribs, throwing him to the side.

"Oh! I'm sorry about my friend, he's a bit quick to the punch." Roman jokes, pushing himself off the floor and dusting himself off as an airship lands just behind him. He turns around and leaps onto the airship, grabbing onto one of the handle bars.

"LOVELY SEEIN' YA AGAIN, SPECTER! CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT TIME!" he shouts, as the ship slowly rises. Grau pushes himself off the ground, his aura finally shatters as he pushes himself to a kneel, grabbing his ribs and holding his sword with his spare hand.

"Y-you can't run forever, Torchwick... I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!" Grau shouts, pointing his sword toward the gangster.

"Can't wait!" Roman responds, before the airship flies away. Grau breathes deeply and stumbles to his feet, his ribs hurt like hell and he already used his last stim. Scarlett leaps next to Grau, looking pretty beat up. A stream of blood falling from her forehead, she breathes heavily and bumps into Grau's back.

"I tried to hold them off as long as I could, there were too many..." She explains, as black vans flood into the docks, hundreds of White Fang fighters step out from the vans and aim their firearms at Scarlett and Grau.

"FREEZE, HUMAN SCUM!" a White Fang lieutenant shouts, aiming a large pistol at Grau's head. Grau takes a deep breath, closing his eyes.

"DROP THE WEAPONS!" He shouts again, Grau tightens the grip around his sword and prepares himself to take his final stand. Scarlett knew exactly what Grau had planned. She stands battle ready, preparing herself to join Mei. Time seemingly stops, the two ready themselves for what they thought would be their final fight. Dez watches them from a distance, still trying to keep the crane from crushing Olive.

"C'mon! Wake up damnit!" He shouts through gritted teeth, looking down at her. He could feel his blood boiling knowing that he can't help them. Then his ear twitches, he catches the sound of a legion of boots on the ground. Either it was backup for the White Fang or it was something very different. Before he knew it, he could hear the familiar thumping of a squadron of helicopters flying closer to the docks. Dez's eyes follow the black choppers flying overhead, with the insignia "SOR LLC" on the doors. Dez narrows his eyes, he didn't recognize the logo.

Grau and Scarlett look up at the choppers, still battle ready. Scarlett looked especially nervous.

"SHADOWS!" One of the fang militants shouts before a bullet hits him in the arm and he falls to his back. The White Fang militants then scatter, with Rex leaping head-first into the docks and swimming into the sewers.

Grau and Scarlett take this opportunity to leap forward and attack the militants surrounding them. As they rampage through the army, ropes fall from the choppers, and soldiers wearing all black slide down them, before immediately getting to work arresting members of the White Fang, very few of them going quietly. A couple of choppers fly over Dez, attaching magnets to the steel and lifting the crane off the bull's shoulders. He grabs Olive's wrist and jumps out of the way before the crane smashes into the ground. He grabs Olive off the ground and holds her in his arms, before sprinting toward Grau and Scarlett to provide backup.
