** Shadows of Normalcy**

As the days passed. Venom's wounds were still raw, but the fever that had plagued her two nights ago had finally subsided. She was recovering slowly, her strength returning bit by bit.

Downstairs, the atmosphere was almost cheerful. BTS had received their instruments, thanks to Atharva, who had instructed Ace to retrieve them before his departure to France. The members were back to practicing their music, filling the mansion with the familiar sounds of melodies and rhythms. Laughter and banter floated through the air, a welcome change from the tension that had hung over them for so long.

In the living room, Jimin strummed his guitar, while Jungkook worked on perfecting a new choreography. RM and Suga were deep in discussion over lyrics, occasionally glancing at their notebooks and nodding in agreement. Jin and V were in the kitchen, attempting to bake something that smelled surprisingly delicious, their playful arguments over ingredients making everyone smile. J-Hope sat nearby, headphones on, immersed in a new beat he was creating.

Upstairs, Venom lay in bed, propped up by pillows. Her wounds ached, but the pain was a dull throb compared to the feverish agony she had endured. She was surrounded by an array of photographs and footage, her laptop balanced on her knees. The screen flickered with images of unfamiliar faces, locations, and events that she was meticulously analyzing.

She sifted through the files, her sharp eyes catching every detail. Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and strategies, piecing together the puzzle that had led to her attack. Each photo, each frame of footage, brought her closer to the truth. Her expression was one of fierce determination, a stark contrast to her weakened state.

Occasionally, she would glance towards the door, half expecting Taehyung to appear with his concerned gaze. His unexpected presence in her life had become something she couldn't quite understand. He hadn't shown up in front of her after she found him sleeping next to her on the chair that he seems to drag there ,holding her hands. He had had come to her rescue twice now, and each time, she found herself more confused by his actions. His genuine concern and unwavering support were something she wasn't used to.

Venom's thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock on the door. She looked up, her guard instantly up. "Come in," she called out, her voice steady.

The door creaked open, and Ace stepped in, carrying a tray with a bowl of soup and some medication. "How are you feeling ? ....capo" he asked, setting the tray down on the bedside table.

"Better," she replied curtly, her eyes never leaving the laptop screen. "But not good enough to be bedridden."

Ace chuckled softly. "You need rest to function properly "...

She shot him a sharp look, but there was no malice in it. "What did you find out?" she asked, changing the subject.

"Not much yet. The footage from the attack is still being analyzed. But there are a few leads. We'll get them."

Venom nodded, satisfied for the moment. "Good. They won't get away with this."

As Ace left the room, Venom took a deep breath, wincing at the pain in her side. She leaned back against the pillows, closing her eyes for a moment. The mansion was filled with the sounds of music and laughter, a stark contrast to the chaos she was unraveling in her mind.

She opened her eyes again, determination burning brighter than ever. She would heal, she would find those responsible, and she would make sure they paid. For now, she allowed herself a moment of respite, listening to the distant strains of music drifting up from downstairs.

In that fleeting moment of peace, Venom almost felt normal. But she knew better than anyone that shadows lurked just beneath the surface, and she was ready to face them head-on.
