**Chapter : The Silent Curiosity**

**Venom's POV**

The weekend stretched out before me, another meaningless passage of time. BTS had been locked down in the estate for days now, the walls closing in on them as much as they were on me. The security measures I'd enforced were necessary, but they were also suffocating. The boys were restless, their energy bottled up with nowhere to go.

Atharva decided to take matters into his own hands.

"We should take them out," he said, leaning against the doorway of my study. "They need a break."

I didn't look up from the papers on my desk. "They can take a break when this is over."

"They need it now. Taehyung and Jungkook are getting antsy, and it's only a matter of time before the others follow. They just can't keep themselves locked up forever." The rest of them like to stay here as they handover the list of the stuff they wanted .

My eyes flicked up to him, narrowing. "And you think a little fresh air will fix everything?"

"Nope but the little hangout will be refreshing "
He shrugged, unbothered by my irritation. "It might. At the very least, it'll keep them from going stir-crazy."

I leaned back in my chair, weighing the options. Atharva had a point, as much as I hated to admit it. Keeping BTS on lockdown was necessary, but too much pressure could make them crack. I needed them focused, not frazzled.

"Fine," I said, finally.

"But you are coming with us ."

Atharva's smirk was infuriating. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

---

The drive out of the estate was quieter than I'd expected. Jungkook sat in the back, headphones on, lost in his own world. Taehyung sat beside me, his eyes flicking from the window to me and back again, curiosity burning in his gaze.

I ignored him, staring out at the passing scenery. We were heading to a private park just outside the city, a place where the boys could relax without the constant threat of prying eyes or worse.

Atharva was driving, his attention split between the road and the rearview mirror, ever vigilant. I could tell he was waiting for something, anything, to happen. We were too exposed out here, and that made him nervous. It made me nervous too, but I was better at hiding it.

"Do you ever get tired of this?"

I glanced at Taehyung, surprised by the question. He was looking at me, his head tilted slightly as if he were trying to figure me out.

"Tired of what?" I asked, my voice cool.

"All of this." He gestured vaguely. "The secrecy, the danger... never being able to relax."

I considered him for a moment. He was genuinely curious, not just making small talk. It was a rare thing, someone trying to understand rather than just survive around me.

"I don't have time to get tired," I replied, turning back to the window.

"That's not an answer."

I didn't respond. He wasn't going to get what he wanted from me. Whatever curiosity he had about me, whatever fascination was brewing in his mind, I would snuff it out before it could take root.

But Taehyung didn't give up easily. "You've been doing this for a long time, haven't you?"

"A while."

"Must be lonely."

I almost laughed at that. Lonely? Maybe once, a long time ago. But now? Loneliness was a luxury I couldn't afford. Emotions were liabilities in my world, weaknesses to be exploited.
