Jimin's voice cut through the charged
atmosphere, each word edged with frustration and concern. “Atharva, what’s going on? Why is my sister here? She was in Italy.”Atharva, seated across from Jimin, Taehyung, and Jin in his private study, sighed heavily. The room was dimly lit, the only source of light coming from a desk lamp that cast long shadows on the walls. He rubbed his temples, trying to gather his thoughts before speaking.
“Jimin hyung,” Atharva began, his tone steady but filled with an edge of frustration, “your sister is... well, let’s just say she’s a rare breed of human, one who found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Jimin’s eyes narrowed. “What do you mean?”
Atharva leaned forward, his gaze intense. “She saw something in Italy that she shouldn’t have. A mafioso operation—something that’s highly confidential and dangerous. She witnessed a transaction that could implicate some very powerful people. In their eyes, she’s a threat. They’ll do anything to ensure she doesn’t talk to the police or anyone else.”
Jin’s eyebrows furrowed. “And how exactly did she end up in this mess?”
“over a stupid cat ,” Atharva replied, shaking his head. “I stumbled upon her while she was trying to flee. She wasn’t ready to leave Italy, though, which put her in even more danger. I had no choice but to bring her here to her homeland where she’d be relatively safer.”
Taehyung leaned forward, his expression one of cautious curiosity. “And you didn’t expect us to find out about her?”
Atharva shrugged, but her sensed something in his voice, attempting to appear nonchalant. “I didn’t think she’d be his sister. He pointed finger towards jimin .It wasn’t part of the plan. I just wanted to make sure she was out of immediate danger. But now that she’s here, it complicates things.”
Jimin's anger was palpable. “So, you’ve brought her into a situation that’s already dangerous for us. How are we supposed to keep her safe now?”
“Relax, hyung. There’s nothing to worry about. She’s out of danger,” Atharva assured Jimin, his tone firm. “As for her being here... she’ll go back home soon.”
Jimin nodded, taking a deep breath, feeling a bit of relief. After lunch, everyone headed back to their rooms, the tension easing slightly with Atharva’s reassurance.
——The Reapers had shifted their temporary base to an inconspicuous building in Seoul. It had been three weeks since BTS had last been seen at their company’s headquarters, and the trail was growing colder by the day. The seven members seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving no trace behind.
"We're running out of time, Viper," Marcus growled, his voice carrying a dangerous edge. "Three weeks and not a single trace of those boys. This is unacceptable."
Viper nodded, his expression cold and calculating. "I understand, boss. We've been combing through every lead, but they’re slippery. It’s like they’ve vanished into thin air."
Marcus's eyes darkened, the weight of their failure heavy on his shoulders. He had a reputation to uphold, and this prolonged game of hide-and-seek was tarnishing it. "We need to tighten our net. Increase surveillance, bribe more informants, and squeeze our contacts. I want every street in Seoul watched."
Viper stepped closer, pointing to a marked location on the map. "We've identified a few potential hideouts. Safe houses, warehouses, even some luxury apartments. We can start there."
Marcus sat in a office, His presence demanded fear; he was a man whose dark charisma and ruthless efficiency were known throughout the underworld. He leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowed as he listened to his subordinate, Viper, recount the recent developments.
“Sir Our informers within the city police department and their agency have been systematically eliminated. Each of them was found dead with a wing mark carved into their skin,” Viper reported, his voice steady but tinged with unease.
Marcus’s lips curled into a sinister smile as he examined the photographs of the dead informants. “Someone is challenging us, Viper. They’ve dared to leave a mark, who could be it.
Viper hesitated before speaking again. “It’s the first time we’ve failed to hit our target, sir. The higher-ups are getting impatient. They want results.”
Marcus’s smile faded, replaced by a cold, hard expression. “Impatience is a luxury they can afford. We, however, cannot. We need to find those boys and eliminate them as per our contract. No one makes a fool of the Reapers.”
Viper nodded, though his unease was palpable. “Our network is being tightened, but it’s almost as if they’ve disappeared. Even their agency claims to have no idea where they are.”
The man stood up, pacing the room with predatory grace. “Then we need to widen our search. Every connection, every acquaintance, every possible hideout must be scrutinized. Leave no stone unturned.”
He paused, his gaze piercing as he looked at Viper. “And find out what that wing mark means. Whoever left it is trying to send us a message. We need to decode it before it’s too late.”
Viper swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Marcus’s gaze. “Yes, sir. We’ll double our efforts. The boys can’t stay hidden forever.”
Marcus stopped pacing and stood by the window, looking out at the city lights of Seoul. “They’ll come out eventually. And when they do, we’ll be ready. Make sure the team is on high alert. No mistakes this time, Viper.”
Viper nodded once more, then turned and left the room, his mind already racing with plans to intensify the search.
Marcus remained by the window, his reflection in the glass merging with the cityscape outside. He knew the boys were out there somewhere, and he vowed to himself that he would find them. Failure was not an option. The contract had to be fulfilled, and the Reapers’ reputation restored.
As the city slept, the hunt continued in the shadows. Both sides, the hunted and the hunters, moved with cautious precision, each step bringing them closer to an inevitable confrontation.
As Viper continued detailing their next moves, Marcus’s phone buzzed on the desk. He picked it up, glancing at the screen. A slow, sinister smirk spread across his face, transforming his features into something menacing.
Marcus announced, his voice dripping with satisfaction.
"They've found one
We got them.....”.Here the chapter ends.
