chapter nine

Someone was shaking me and I looked down to see my nephew

"Aunty Daddy said you should wake up". He gave me a kiss on the cheek and ran out the room; I stretched and grabbed my iphone off the charger.

"FEMI GET UP MAN"

"IM COMING"

I got up and walked out the room to meet him in the passageway, he smiled at me and I smiled back, I walked into the living room where as usual Quinn was playing with the Xbox

"Morning Quinn"

"Yeah hi"

I walked out and headed to the bathroom to release fluid when I was done I grabbed my shoes and bag getting ready to leave the house

"Rico I’m going"

"BYE AUNTY" he screamed from his dad’s room. I left the house walking towards Ayo's new car with him following behind; I entered it and put my seatbelt on looking out the window as he put it on drive.

"Do you need money Femi?"

"No, I’m fine thanks"

I looked up at the sky and it looked as if it was going to rain, I kissed my teeth and put one of his cds in and Biggie started playing through the speakers

"I never knew you had this CD, I love his songs!"

I started singing Juicy bopping my head to the beat

"It was all I dream I used to read word up magazines" we both rapped together, we carried on and started laughing I seriously love Ayo. Every song that Biggie rapped I knew, every song that 2Pac rapped I sang along to. I looked at the time and it was 15 minutes past 6, I sighed at the thought of me sleeping by now.

"You know I love you sis and the other little misses, just be safe yeah and say hello to mum and dad from Quinn, Rico and I"

"Love you too Ayo and I will do" I got out the car and ran towards the door because it was raining; I opened the door and closed it behind me watching dad walk into the kitchen. I followed behind and went to go greet him when he looked at my head.

"Ah where is your hair? But it looks nice sha"

"Wanted a difference for a change dad and Ayo, Quinn and Rico send their greetings"

"Ah my boys, they don't come anymore to say hello I should call them to have lunch or something do you think so"

"That would be good dad"

My dad started smiling for some reason, he pulled out a chair for me and him taking a seat, I stared at it and went to sit down.

"Nifemi I want to tell you how you make me happy"

"Why's that dad?"

"I was scared that you will never be that excitable, outgoing young girl you used to be but now you are improving and me and your mother is just very happy"

"I thank my councillor and Ramel to be honest"

"You had councillor and never told me and Ramel, is he your lover?"

I laughed at his confused face and went to put the kettle on because he would want coffee

"Yeah I wanted to be happy instead of miserable and quiet also Ramel is not my lover he is a very good friend of mine you will like him when you meet him, mum has met him already"

I took my seat again and just stared at my dad, he noticed me staring and I knew he knew what I was about to ask him, he was about to get up and leave when I grabbed his arm.
