Since their last encounter, when Namjoon showed up unexpectedly on Jin's lunch date-if you could even call it that-they hadn't met again.

Seokjin had been tempted to ask Hoseok for Namjoon's number but decided against it. If the alpha wanted to talk to him, he should have asked for his number, right? After all, it was Namjoon's job to court him.

School was over, and Yoongi had just texted Seokjin, asking him to bring the kids today because they both were busy.

Seokjin went to the children's section, and Jimin and Tae instantly latched onto him as soon as he reached them.

"Let's go, babies." Jin took both of their hands in his and led them to his car, which was in dire need of an upgrade.

He drove them to the Min's house, and as soon as the door opened, he was greeted by the delicious scent of red wine. After finding his mate, he was actually curious to see how red wine tasted.

The kids rushed over to Namjoon and climbed up on him. Namjoon smiled as he smothered their faces with kisses.

Seokjin smiled, seeing Namjoon was really good with kids. He went to help Hobi with lunch and noticed Jimin sitting on Namjoon's belly while he was half-lying on the sofa, and Taehyung's head resting on his chest as Namjoon wrapped his arms around both of them. They were talking so enthusiastically, and he was replying to them as if having conversations with adults.

"Namjoon is so good with kids," Hoseok said, causing Jin to curse himself silently-Hoseok had caught him staring at Namjoon.

"Y-yeah, it looks like it," Jin replied, quickly looking away from the scene in the living room.

"We always tell him to get married and have his own pups, but he refuses," Hoseok continued. Jin's cheeks suddenly felt hot. The heck, Hoseok wasn't even talking about him.

"Why?" Jin asked, genuinely curious. Namjoon was handsome, rich, and most of all, a trueblood. He could have anyone he wanted.

"Don't know, maybe he's waiting for his fated mate." Hobi shrugged. Seokjin quickly took a sip of water to hide his flustered state.

"Well, Namjoon is a really reserved person. It takes time for him to open up to people. He doesn't laugh or get comfortable with just anyone. I think Yoongi and I are his only friends," Hoseok explained, as if offering an explanation for Namjoon's single status.

"Why is he like that?" Jin asked, wanting to know more. He really wanted to get to know Namjoon better since, as Hobi mentioned, Namjoon wasn't going to open up easily.

"Due to some painful past experiences, he became like this. He basically grew up alone, with no one by his side. At one point, he was homeless and lived on the streets. And now look at him," Hobi said, pride evident in his voice for his friend.

Seokjin's eyes widened in surprise. Namjoon had come so far-he was now the most successful CEO in Korea.

"That made him basically a rock. Yoongi told me he loved someone who ended up hurting him, so he can't trust people easily," Hobi said, plating the food. Seokjin nodded, that's makes so much sense about why Namjoon's like this.

Seokjin vowed at that very moment to give Namjoon all the love he had missed in his life. Even if Namjoon didn't show it, Seokjin would love him endlessly.

The person who had hurt Namjoon must have been the biggest fool on the planet because Namjoon was special-and not just because he was Seokjin's mate.

The admiration on the faces of those who knew Namjoon well spoke volumes about his character.
