Seokjin was so absorbed in the drama that he didn’t even notice when the door opened and Alpha walked in.Namjoon spotted him completely engrossed in the TV. A smile tugged at his lips as he noticed Seokjin’s hand frozen mid-air, holding a piece of popcorn, forgotten as his attention was captured by the screen.
Curious, Namjoon glanced at the TV, but his smile faded when he saw what had Seokjin so enthralled.
It was absurd. A handsome man stood there, his hair fluttering in the breeze, cherry blossoms swirling around him, his eyes blinking in slow motion, all in exaggerated cinematics.
“Good evening,” Namjoon murmured softly into Seokjin’s ear, causing him to jump.
“Oh, when did you get back?” Seokjin asked, setting the popcorn down and pausing the show.
“When you were too busy admiring him,” Namjoon replied, nodding toward the actor, raising a brow.
“O-oh.” Namjoon’s eyes widened when he noticed—was Seokjin blushing? His omega was blushing over someone else.
“You should go freshen up. I’ll set the table for dinner,” Seokjin instructed, though his attention quickly returned to the drama.
Namjoon frowned slightly. Tossing his coat onto the back of the sofa, he strode forward, scooped the omega into his arms, and settled him onto his lap.
“W-what?” Seokjin asked in confusion, his heart beginning to race.
“He’s had too much of your attention. I don’t like it, sweet caramel,” Namjoon muttered, burying his face in the crook of Seokjin’s neck, scenting him possessively.
Seokjin sat frozen for a moment before a soft giggle escaped his lips.
“Are you jealous of an actor, Alpha?” he teased, his tone playful.
“No, I was just saying that your focus should be on me. I came home late, tired and all,” Namjoon quickly denied. What was wrong with him? Was he really jealous over an actor?
“Oh, but I did give you attention. I told you to go freshen up while I set the table for dinner,” Seokjin replied, suppressing a smile as he felt Namjoon’s grip tighten around him, his face still nestled in his neck. It felt so casual, so homely, as if they were used to this—and maybe they were. The Alpha had been showing more affection since their conversation, and Seokjin was over the moon because of it.
“But you were still sitting there,” Namjoon grumbled like a child, his lips brushing Seokjin’s neck as he spoke. Seokjin couldn’t help but giggle. Was this really the serious, uptight man he had married?
“Why don’t you just admit that you’re jealous?” Seokjin teased, biting his lower lip. Namjoon lifted his head from his neck, his eyes locking onto Seokjin’s lips.
Namjoon gently pulled Seokjin’s lower lip free from his teeth with his thumb. The playful atmosphere vanished as Seokjin’s gaze locked with Namjoon’s, the air around them subtly shifting. Namjoon leaned closer, and Seokjin followed until their lips finally met.
No matter how often they kissed, it always felt like the first time—gentle and unhurried, with no rush or lust, just love. Namjoon caressed Seokjin’s lips with his own, tenderly. Seokjin chased after his lips, parting his mouth in invitation, and Namjoon obliged. Without breaking the kiss, Namjoon gently pushed him back onto the sofa, his tongue slipping into Seokjin’s warm, welcoming mouth. One hand cradled the back of Seokjin’s head, while the other rested beside him, anchoring them both.
Namjoon explored every corner of Seokjin’s mouth, taking his time, savoring the moment. Seokjin’s soft gasps were swallowed by Namjoon, his heart twisting with emotion as he deepened the kiss. Seokjin’s hands buried themselves in Namjoon’s hair, pulling him closer.
