For two days, they hadn't spoken because Seokjin wasn't talking to Namjoon. Since Seokjin was the more talkative one in their relationship, their silence persisted. Despite the tension, Namjoon would still scent Seokjin every day, and Seokjin would prepare breakfast for him like a ritual.

Seokjin sighed as he thought about their situation. They were acting childish and immature, and he knew he needed to talk to Namjoon instead of staying angry and giving him the silent treatment.

You need to accept when you’re wrong, buttercup. There’s nothing wrong with that.

His father's voice echoed in his mind. He loved his father deeply; the bond they shared was extraordinary. Seokjin didn’t believe anyone could love their father as much as he did.

He waited for Namjoon, and around midnight, Namjoon returned home, expecting Seokjin to be asleep as he usually was at that hour. But to his surprise, Seokjin was awake, sitting in the living room.

“What are you doing here?” Namjoon asked as he approached. Seokjin sat up straight and patted the spot beside him.

“We need to talk,” Seokjin said. Namjoon stood still for a moment, observing him. He had missed Seokjin's constant chatter over the past two days, but he felt the omega was in the wrong and shouldn’t have lied to him.

“Yeah?” Namjoon responded, sitting down next to him and placing his coat on the armrest of the sofa.

From their seat, they could see the city through the large window on one side of the living room.

“I’m sorry for not telling you about my date with Misang,” Seokjin said softly. Namjoon was looking out at the city, but he was listening.

“And I’m sorry for hugging him,” Seokjin added, which earned a small hum from Namjoon.

“I’m sorry for kissing you,” Namjoon replied, his eyes finally meeting Seokjin’s.

“And?” Seokjin prompted, expecting Namjoon to apologize for his behavior from the previous day.

“That’s it. Let’s go to bed, sweet caramel,” Namjoon said, standing up. Seokjin looked at him in surprise.

“Wait,” Seokjin called out as Namjoon was heading to his room. “You need to apologize for telling me to stay away from my friends,” he said, frowning slightly.

“I only apologize for the things I did wrong, sweet caramel. Last night, the only mistake I made was kissing you out of anger,” Namjoon replied, facing him. Seokjin’s mouth fell open at his audacity.

“Excuse me? I apologized for even hugging my friend, and you won’t apologize for your possessive behavior?” Seokjin asked, incredulous.

“You apologized for hugging your ex. And I won’t apologize for my behavior,” Namjoon stated. Seokjin stood up, his anger rising.

“Wow, and I thought we could resolve this by talking like mature adults,” Seokjin said, ready to storm off to his room. He might be an omega, but he was far from weak.

Throughout his life, he had put arrogant alphas in their place, and he wasn’t about to back down from calling Namjoon out for his behavior that he didn’t appreciate yesterday.

“We have resolved it, sweet caramel. You’re not going to meet your friends, and I apologized for kissing you without your permission,” Namjoon said, gently grabbing his wrist.

“What do you know about my friends that I don’t? How do you know they aren’t good people?” Seokjin asked with a sigh. This conversation wasn’t helping; they were stuck in the same place they were two nights ago.
