Seokjin doesn't understand why Namjoon heads to his office at 5 in the morning and returns home so late.
Last night, when Namjoon mentioned that he couldn't drop Seokjin off at school because their working hours didn't align, Seokjin asked what time Namjoon usually left for work. He hadn't expected the answer to be 5 in the morning.
But Seokjin woke up at 4:30, quickly freshened up, and went straight to the kitchen. He wouldn't let Namjoon leave the house without having breakfast. He decided to make pancakes.
Twenty minutes later, Namjoon came downstairs, fully dressed for work. When he saw Seokjin awake and cooking, he walked over, looking puzzled.
“Good morning,” Seokjin greeted without looking up from the pancake batter. Namjoon replied softly as he reached for his cup to make coffee.
“What are you doing?” Namjoon asked, placing his cup under the coffee machine.
“I'm making you breakfast,” Seokjin answered, looking up with a full smile that made Namjoon's heart skip a beat.
“For me?” Namjoon asked, snapping out of his daze.
“Mhmm.” Seokjin hummed while oiling the pan.
“I don't eat breakfast,” Namjoon reminded him, usually content with just a cold coffee in the morning.
“But you'll eat today.” Seokjin shrugged and continued making pancakes.
“You woke up early just to make me breakfast?” Namjoon asked, and Seokjin nodded. A smile stretched across Namjoon's lips at how endearing Seokjin looked.
“Alright,” Namjoon said as he went to sit at the dining table. The smell was so appetizing that his mouth watered. He wasn’t a great chef and could only manage the basics, but Seokjin’s pancakes smelled heavenly.
“Will you be able to pick me up from school? I have something to buy,” Seokjin asked, placing Namjoon's breakfast in front of him.
“I’m sorry, but I’ll be busy,” Namjoon replied apologetically, knowing he had a full day lined up with several meetings.
“It’s okay, I’ll just go with Hobi then,” Seokjin said, a smile still on his lips. Namjoon began eating his breakfast, finding it just as delicious as it smelled.
He was in the middle of eating when his phone began chiming with numerous messages and notifications. Namjoon wiped his face and hands with a napkin and stood up, slipping his phone into his pocket.
“Wait, Alpha.” As Namjoon was about to head out the door, Seokjin called out. Namjoon turned back and raised an eyebrow.
“Scent me before you go,” Seokjin said, and Namjoon’s heart skipped a beat. God, he thought, Seokjin was so cute—not asking, but rather ordering. The omega was really adorable.
“You want me to scent you?” Namjoon asked, raising an eyebrow, to which Seokjin nodded.
“I don’t think I’m comfortable leaving the house without your scent,” Seokjin admitted shyly.
“Come here,” Namjoon said, opening his arms wide for Seokjin. The omega immediately moved toward him, and Namjoon wrapped his arms around Seokjin, tightening his hold.
The omega was so petite that his frame seemed to disappear in Namjoon's embrace. Like an addicted man, Namjoon immediately buried his face against Seokjin's scent gland, inhaling deeply.
The aroma of caramel milk was overwhelmingly sweet, almost saccharine, and Namjoon was utterly captivated. It was the most intoxicating scent he had ever encountered.
