After having your ship blown up the normal response would be for you to perhaps rebuild it or doing something to fix your situation.

But nothing about Toni, Ethan and Daphne was normal. Their response the the ship being blown up was to go find somewhere to play monopoly whilst they let Kronos and his army fix the damages.

After all why should they have to put in the work when other people could do it for them?

It was certainly not the most productive course of action, but playing games were one of the few methods the trio had to distract themselves.

Currently, the trio were sat in a corner of the main deck, the Monopoly board laid out on a barrel.

Ethan stared at the board, calculating his next move as Daphne and Toni talked amongst themselves.

"So the dark haired one?" Toni began, putting her hair up into a ponytail. "That's the son of Poseidon?"

"Percy Jackson." Daphne nodded, looking at the board game.

Ethan's eyes scanned his cards as he responded to Toni's question. "Yeah, that's him."

He paused, glancing up and studying the board as he considered his options. Then he made his move, taking out a small stack of monopoly money and sliding it across the board to pay rent.

"He's a handful, and he's stubborn too."

"He's not stubborn, he's loyal to his friends." Shrugged Daphne, taking the money from Ethan and putting it in her own pile. "Personal loyalty, it's his fatal flaw."

"It's a good flaw to have, I guess," replied Ethan with a shrug.

Toni glanced between the two of them, her expression thoughtful. "But it can also be stupid, can't it?"

"What do you mean?" Daphne asked, her gaze shifting to the other girl. "Percy's a great guy when he's not being blind by the gods' standards."

Ethan nodded in agreement, rolling the dice and moving his playing piece. "Yeah, Percy's been through... a lot to say the least."

"I mean," Toni began, watching the game intently. "Being too loyal can lead you to make stupid decisions. Like trusting someone who could stab you in the back."

Daphne realised what the girl was getting at. Her eyes dropped to the board game, rolling the dice and moving her character - the penguin - before handing Ethan some money over for landing on his property. "Me and Luke you mean?"

Toni nodded slowly, her eyes locking on Daphne's face as she continued to watch her closely. "Well, he didn't suspect you would spy on Camp did he?"

The daughter of Hermes looked up, eventually shrugging. Her face turned emotionless, something it always did when she spoke about Camp HalfBlood or her old friends. "I don't think any of them did. But, oh well. The past is the past and we can't change that."

Toni gave a small nod, studying Daphne's emotionless expression for a moment. There was no sign of any regret or remorse, which surprised her a little.

The girl could tell that Ethan knew Daphne well enough to see when she was masking her emotions - and this was one of those times.

Halfway through their game, a young demigod came over. Daphne recognised him slightly, having helped train him on a few occasions.

His name was Lloyd. Daphne didn't know his parentage but he was a good fighter.

"Daphne, Kronos wishes to speak to you."

"Right now?" The girl huffed, indicating to their board game.

Toni watched the exchange, studying the younger demigod as he spoke. It was strange how casually the girl reacted to Lloyd's summons, as if she wasn't being called to speak to the King of the Titans.
