Camp HalfBlood had been preparing themselves for war.

Theo couldn't exactly remember when they had begun, but they had been - perhaps even subconsciously.

As a demigod you were always, at all times, on the lookout for danger - anything that could put your life at potential risk. It was built into you.

Never would Theo think that the danger and enemy would be Daphne Evans however.

"Theo?" Michael Yew called out as he entered Cabin Six.

Since the Athena kids had begun scrambling around in preparation for war the cabin had been a messed. It was momentarily cleaned for inspection but afterwards it had been reverted back to its normal self.

It never used to be like that but everyone was trying to train themselves in order to not die.

Plans were sprawled out all over the floor, weapons left on messy, untidied bunks. Worn clothes were tossed carelessly into the bathroom corner. Nobody had taken the clothes to the laundry room - not yet.

Looking up from his plan, Theo smiled. "Hey, Michael."

Michael Yew was the new head counsellor for the Apollo Cabin after the tragic death of Lee, who had died during the Battle Of The Labyrinth.

"What's up?"

"They're doing a meeting in the Big House. One last one before, you know." The boy told him, leaning on the doorframe and looking around the cabin. "If it makes you feel better, Cabin Seven looks like this at the moment..."

"You have forty campers cramped in there." Shrugged the Athena boy, flicking his hair slightly. He desperately needed to get it cut. "Bound to be messy in there."

"I suppose... Anyway, meeting. You coming?"

Giving a nod, Theo placed the pieces of paper to one side of his bunk before standing up. "Lead the way."

The walk from Cabin Six to the Big House was short, but the atmosphere that hung around them was heavy.

Each step they took felt ominous, like each step was a step closer to something none of the demigods wanted.

Finally, they arrived at the Big House. The house had never looked sadder, the building seemed to mourn what was to come.

By taking a simple step into the house, Theo shivered. Cabin counsellors had already come together, sat in the room.

"Where's Percy?" Theo's brow furrowed as he looked around the room for the son of Poseidon.

A quiet murmur ran through the room, no one seemed to have an answer to his question.

Then, suddenly, the sound of footsteps rang through the room as Chiron walked in. He, too, looked grim, like he knew the news that Percy was nowhere to be seen would cause a chain reaction.

Everybody turned their attention to Annabeth, all of them looking at the girl expectantly. Out of everyone, is someone was to know the boys whereabouts it was definitely Annabeth.

A look of anguish appeared on Annabeth's face as all the attention in the room turned to her, the girl's eyes shifting over each and every demigod before her.

Finally, she spoke, her voice shaky. "I don't know where he is."

"Great, so our main person isn't even at camp. Wonderful." Huffed Oliver, who seemed to be representing Cabin Five.

Clarisse (their actual head counsellor) was dead set on her cabin not helping out in the war. The Ares kids would not be fighting, except Oliver.

Theo was glad about Oliver's determination to help. They desperately needed all the help that they could get.
