A year had passed since the truth had been revealed, and the lives of Benedict and Penelope had gained new meaning. They were now preparing for the birth of their second child, and the Bridgerton house was filled with an atmosphere of joy and love.
It was evening. The family gathered around a large table in the cozy living room, decorated with flowers and candles. In the center of attention was Penelope, sitting with a gentle smile on her face and tenderly stroking her rounded belly. Benedict sat next to her, his arm around her shoulders, his face glowing with happiness.
At that moment, the other members of the Bridgerton family entered the room, lively discussing the latest news and sharing their impressions of the day. All the Bridgertons were there, creating an unmistakable atmosphere of family warmth and chaos.
"So, what's for dinner?" Anthony asked, looking around. "I'm starving!"
"We've prepared a lot of delicious dishes," Michaela replied with a smile, bringing in plates filled with mouth-watering aromas.
"Penelope, how are you feeling?" Violet asked, approaching her with a caring expression.
"I feel wonderful," Penelope replied, smiling. "Benedict is very attentive. Maybe even too much."
"You deserve to be treated like a queen," Benedict said, hugging her.
"Ben, you're simply unbearable," Penelope said, laughing, as Benedict once again tried to help her up from the couch. "I'm not made of glass, I won't break."
"I just want you to be safe," Benedict replied, his eyes glowing with love. "Our baby needs to be born healthy and happy."
"And will be," Penelope said confidently, hugging him. "But you need to relax too. Everything will be fine."
Sophie watched her parents with amusement. She was already used to her father's care for her mother and found it both funny and touching.
***
A few months had passed since Benedict and Penelope welcomed another child into their family — little Charles. Life went on as usual, filled with happiness, love, and the inevitable chaos that was characteristic of the Bridgertons.
"How is this supposed to work?" Benedict muttered, trying to figure out the instructions while keeping the baby in place. "These fasteners are like a riddle from a quest!"
"Dad, you're putting it on backwards," Sophie said cheerfully, standing next to him and laughing. "Even I didn't mess up like that the first time!"
"Why does this have to be so difficult?" Benedict sighed, smiling sheepishly. "It looks like I still have a lot to learn from you, Sophie."
"I see someone has become a student," she winked. Sophie smiled as she took the diaper and expertly put it on her brother. "See, nothing complicated," she said proudly, looking at her father. "Just follow the instructions and remember where the baby's head is and where the bottom is!"
"I hope so," Benedict replied, nodding. "Otherwise, he will remind me of my mistakes for the rest of my life."
Penelope, watching this scene, couldn't help but laugh.
"Dad, if anything, I'm always here to help," Sophie said with a wide smile. "Even in the most difficult 'diaper' situations."
"Thank you, my little teacher," Benedict replied, hugging Sophie. "With you, I can handle any challenge."
"The main thing is to remember that diapers are only the beginning," Penelope winked. "There's a lot more interesting things ahead!"
