Warm love (Sequel)

Part 20

*Danielle's POV*

"I don't want to go" I whine as I hug Valentina tighter.

"I know darling" Valentina says as she kisses my head, I snuggle into her more, we've been saying goodbye for 10 minutes now.

My suitcase is already in my car, Ben already came over and we said our goodbye's, now me and Valentina are hugging at the doorstep.

"We'll see each other in 3 months, that's nothing darling after that 6 months we just pulled down" she says, I feel tears going down my face.

"I know but I will still miss you" I sob "Hey, don't cry" Valentina says as she wipes away one of my tears.

"We'll talk everyday, and I swear the moment I have the chance I'll come visit you" she says.

"You won't have the chance" I mutter, Valentina sighs "You are right, I probably won't" she says sadly.

I pull away from our hug and press my lips against hers, Valentina grabs my waist and pulls me closer to her "I love you" I say before pulling back from the kiss.

"I love you darling" she says before kissing me again, I hum into the kiss.

"Okay, I'll go" I say "I'll text you as soon as I arrive" I say before giving her one last peck on the lips.

As I start leaving Valentina grabs my wrist and kisses me again "I'm sorry" she says "Now you can go" she says before giving me one last kiss.

I smile before turning away and getting into my car, I wave as I pull out of Valentina's driveway.

I wipe the remaining of my tears away before I suck in a deep breath, in 6 hours I'll be at Harvard, I just have to do this 3 months and I'm done, I can do that, I touch my necklace thinking of Valentina.

After I'm done no one can stop us.

After 6 hours I arrive at Harvard and go to my dorm, there I give Valentina a text, soon I'm all packed out and ready for this remaining 3 months, I'm too tired from the drive and it's already late so I take a shower and head to bed.

Tomorrow all that studying and stress begins again, and all I can feel is how much I miss Valentina, I fall asleep crying.

I'm running to my first class currently, let's just say waking up is definitely harder than I remembered especially when there isn't anyone waiting for me with breakfast in bed.

I push the door open and see Mia turn around and smiling, I go sit down next to her while still breathing heavily.

Mia wraps her arms around me "God I missed you" she says, I smile "I missed you too" I say before releasing her.

We don't talk for the rest of the class as we both feel the need to actually listen to what the professor is saying.

The class ends soon enough and we start packing our bags "Ms. Wilson could you stay behind please?" Professor Bell asks me.

"I'll wait for you outside" Mia says, I give her an appreciating look before I walk towards Professor Bell.

"Thank you for staying behind" he says "I have a great opportunity for you, what would you say about a summer internship at one of the greatest law firms?" he asks me.

"I'd love to, which firm are we talking about?" please don't say Powers.

"Lexington Associates" he answers, I can't believe what I'm hearing, Lexington is my other go to law firm I want to work at.

"I- Thank you, but if you don't mind me asking how come?" I ask him.

"We always offer this internship to our best students at the end of their final year, I don't know if you noticed but your scores are almost always above average, look at this as a prize for your hard work" Mr. Bell says.
