Warm love (Sequel)

Part 19

*Danielle's POV*

Today is my last day here, I'm going back to Harvard tomorrow morning.

We've been back from the ski trip for 5 days now, Valentina tried to spend as much time with me as she could, I love her for it especially when I know she has a lot on her plate.

We are currently walking back from the shopping mall, it's already late in the afternoon and Valentina dedicated this whole day to us, we were on the road the whole day doing our favorite activities, well my favorite activities.

Shopping, eating in my favorite restaurants, we even visited my mother, today's been awesome.

"Thank you" I say to Valentina as we get in her car, she gives me a smile "Today is not over yet, we are still going to eat dinner" she says before pulling her sunglasses over her eyes as the sun just started to go down.

Valentina's phone rings, she answers it "Hey" she says, someone is saying something on the other line "Can't it wait till tomorrow?" Valentina asks back slightly irritated "Okay, I'll be there in 10 minutes" she hangs up then.

"I have to go in Powers to grab some papers, do you mind if we take a quick bypass?" Valentina asks me.

"Of course I don't mind, I've been wanting to see how Powers law firm looks like for ages" I say, "I mean the main firm of course, I know I can't see all of them" I explain when I realise there are around 6 Powers law firms around the world.

After 10 minutes we arrive, Valentina opens my door for me, I thank her before looking up, wow, I've seen photos but in real life it's so much bigger.

I swear the building ends above the clouds, and my girlfriend owns this.

Valentina takes my hand and leads us into the building, the inside is just as breathtaking, the whole place is from white marble and glass, it's so bright and spacious.

We enter the elevators soon, Valentina pushes the floor we are going to "You know half of Harvard law wants to come work here" I whisper, Valentina chuckles.

"Do you?" she asks me then, I'm taken aback a little "I did, yes" I answer which feels like the best answer.

"Why not anymore?" she asks me, we both now why not "Why do you think?" I say, Valentina gives me a look before she starts to say something but the elevator dings.

We walk into the place before us, there is a blonde woman sitting behind one of the desks, otherwise the whole office is empty, there is a big wooden door, Valentina kisses my cheek then "I won't be long" she says before opening the door.

"Hi Zoey" she quickly says to the blonde woman before dissapaering into her office, oh so this is Zoey, this just got interesting.

I go in front of her desk, I hold my hand out, she looks up then and quickly stands up before taking my hand "Danielle" I say, she smiles "Hi, I'm Zoey" she says still smiling.

"Oh I know that" I say, her smile doesn't fade, Valentina then comes out then with a stack of paper in her hand.

"Can we go?" she asks me, "Wait for me in the car baby, I'll be down soon, I just want to have a few words with Zoey here" I say to her, Valentina nods before giving my cheek a kiss and stepping in the elevator.

Zoey swallows "Did I do something wrong?" she asks me, I sit down on a chair "I don't know, did you?" I ask her.

She starts thinking "I don't know, I mean of course I have, who haven't? But nowadays, nothing comes to mind" she says before she gasps "Wait I got a parking ticket a week ago but I swear it was a mistake, I didn't see that sign-"I hold up my hand so she stops talking, she is serious, this girl is so innocent.
