Part 24

*Valentina's POV*

We've got back from Lena's private island a few days ago, we are now getting ready to the dinner party we'll host outside.

I'm preparing some food in the kitchen when Danielle comes down, she is wearing a cute sundress, I walk towards her.

I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer to me, "You are beautiful" I say as I give her cheek a kiss.

She blushes, I love how I still have an effect on her, she puts her arms around my neck "When are the others coming?" she asks me, I look down on my watch.

"In around 15 minutes, let's take the food outside and then we are ready" I say before giving Danielle's lips a peck.

I try to pull away but Danielle pulls me closer by my neck "Wait" she says before kissing me and letting me go "Now we can go" she says before taking a tray of food and taking it outside to the table.

After 15 minutes we are all done and the doorbell rings, this time I left the gate open on purpose.

I open the door and see Zoey and Ben standing there with gifts in their hands, I invite them in, these last 3 months Zoey and I got closer, she helped me with the proposal, she often stayed overtime so I could handle some personal matters, it just seemed right inviting her.

"Ben, Zoey" Danielle says excitedly as she hugs both of them, then she leads them outside, second later the door bell rings again.

Amber and Maddie standing before the door "Hi guys, you came together?" I ask amused, Amber rolls her eyes before blowing out a breath.

"No we didn't, I wouldn't be alive if we did, she is too annoying to survive" Amber says, Maddie rolls her eyes.

"Yes I would've shot myself in the head if I had to travel with her" Maddie says "I would've have done something so much worse than shooting myself in the head if I had to travel with you" Amber then says stepping closer to Maddie, Maddie suck in a breath.

"Okay, now that that's settled, why don't you guys join Ben and Zoey outside?" I ask trying to lighten the mood, they look at me then.

Maddie wraps her arms around me "I'm sorry, it's nice to see you, congratulations" she says before letting me go and walking inside.

Amber hugs me then "Congratulations Val, I knew she would say yes" she says, I smile.

As I'm about to close the door Lena comes in sight, she pulls her expensive sunglasses over her head, her tailored suit fitting on her body perfectly, her dark brown hair up in a ponytail as usually.

She smiles when she sees me and Amber "Hi" she says before hugging me, her accent showing a little.

"Thank you for coming" I say as we pull back, Lena hugs Amber then "Thank you for inviting me" she says.

After the hugs we head inside, we go outside to the garden, Zoey, Ben and Maddie are already deep in talk, Danielle looks up and gets nervous when she sees Lena, she walks over.

She holds out her hand "H-hi, it's a pleasure to meet you, well I know we met already but I mean meet you again and thank you for coming you're amazing" she starts rambling.

Lena chuckles before taking her hand "It's my pleasure and congratulations" she smiles kindly, Danielle blushes.

"Can I bring you anything to drink?" she asks Lena, "No thank you" she says politely "I'll have a glass of water please" Amber says.

Danielle gives her a death glare "Can't you get it yourself Amber?" she says tightly, I hold back a laugh.

"You do know I have a billion dollar company too, right?" she says, Danielle slaps her slightly, Amber laughs before walking away.
