bottom!Seonghwa
Top!Yunho.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Seonghwa stared up at the towering wall of ice before him, his breath puffing in white clouds that disappeared into the frigid air. The ropes, harnesses, and ice picks were strewn around Yunho’s feet like some absurd survival-themed photoshoot.
Yunho, the insufferably tall and annoyingly handsome culprit behind this nonsense, grinned down at Seonghwa, his cheeks already pink from the cold. “What’s the problem? You said you wanted to try something new.”
Seonghwa crossed his arms over his very bundled-up chest, his nose already turning red. “I said I wanted to try hot cocoa tasting or maybe a spa. Not…” He gestured wildly at the glacier. “Whatever this death trap is.”
Yunho laughed, his deep voice echoing off the ice like some overly enthusiastic mountain guide. “It’s not a death trap. It’s called ice climbing. Totally safe if you don’t look down.”
“Don’t look down? I’m barely looking up without wanting to vomit.”
Yunho rolled his eyes, squatting down to start securing Seonghwa’s harness. His long fingers worked with practiced ease, tightening straps and clipping carabiners. Seonghwa was too busy glaring at the ice to notice Yunho’s smirk.
“There, all set. You look great, babe. Very rugged. Like a sexy snowman.”
Seonghwa looked down at the harness cutting into his thighs and groaned. “I look like a sausage. A cold, miserable sausage.”
Yunho grabbed Seonghwa’s ice picks and handed them over with a dramatic bow. “The key is to trust the gear and trust yourself. And me, of course.”
Seonghwa arched an eyebrow. “Oh, trust you? You, who thought it was a good idea to tell me ‘We’re just going for a hike’ and then brought me to Mount Frozen Hell?”
Yunho grinned, leaning closer so their noses almost touched. “You love me, though.”
Seonghwa huffed, but the faint blush spreading across his cheeks betrayed him. “That love is wearing thin, Yunho.”
About thirty minutes into the climb, Seonghwa was convinced he’d made a series of terrible life choices that led him here.
“This is ridiculous,” he muttered, jamming his pick into the ice with far less enthusiasm than Yunho. “What if I slip and end up dangling here like some kind of cold, pregnant piñata?”
Yunho, a few meters above him, burst out laughing. “Pregnant piñata? You’re way too elegant for that, Seonghwa.”
Seonghwa paused to glare up at him, his ice pick still embedded in the wall. “Don’t you dare laugh at me while I’m carrying your child, Yunho. I swear to all the gods, if I die here, you’re naming this baby Seonghwa Junior.”
Yunho glanced down, his grin as wide as ever. “I was thinking more like ‘Yun-seong’—a nice combination of our names. You know, to commemorate our epic climb.”
“How about ‘Icy Regret,’” Seonghwa deadpanned. “Because that’s all I’m feeling right now.”
Yunho laughed again, climbing higher with effortless grace. “You’re doing great, babe. Just a little further, and we’ll take a break.”
“If by ‘break,’ you mean I get to go home, then yes, I’m all for it.”
Finally, after what felt like a lifetime of struggling, slipping, and swearing, Seonghwa reached a small, flat ledge where Yunho was waiting with his thermos and that damn perfect smile.
“You made it!” Yunho cheered, reaching out to pull Seonghwa onto the ledge.
Seonghwa collapsed onto the icy surface, glaring up at Yunho. “I hate you. And I hope you know this baby is going to hear all about how their father made me do this when I was carrying them.”
Yunho knelt beside him, brushing snow off Seonghwa’s hat. “You don’t hate me. You’re just dramatic.”
“I’m hormonal. There’s a difference.”
Yunho chuckled, unscrewing the thermos and offering it to Seonghwa. “Here, hot chocolate. The real kind, not that powdery stuff.”
Seonghwa reluctantly took the thermos, sipping the warm liquid with a sigh. “You get a temporary reprieve. But only because this is good.”
Yunho leaned back, looking out over the icy landscape with a satisfied smile. “See? Isn’t this amazing? Just you, me, and a breathtaking view. No phones, no stress, just us.”
Seonghwa glanced at him, his features softening despite his lingering annoyance. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Yunho grinned, leaning in to press a kiss to Seonghwa’s temple. “And you’re lucky you love me enough to humor my crazy ideas.”
Seonghwa groaned but didn’t pull away. “Let’s just get one thing straight. If I go into labor on one of these stupid mountains, you’re delivering this baby.”
Yunho laughed, his arm wrapping around Seonghwa’s shoulders. “Deal. But knowing you, you’d probably still look flawless.”
Seonghwa rolled his eyes, hiding a small smile behind the thermos. “Shut up and enjoy your stupid view, Yunho.”
