Chapter 14
Nymph had been staying in this country for just a week and somehow it seemed more stressful than she could ever thought. Since she words as an artist, a painter in a museum she had to let Harvey babysit the twins for the meantime. Not babysitting in the literal home but Harvey had to keep an eye on the twins, within Nymph's little studio while she does her work. It didn't help that Mrs. Vaughn would often come by and spend time with the twins.
Nymph found it awkward at first, how Hillary and Harvey's Mom would literally dote on her children like she's her grandchildren, which was not far beyond the truth. Nymph was hiding that fact. It was just odd how her kids made such an impact on Mrs. Vaughn. Mrs. Vaughn would visit, saying she had to meet with the CEO of the museum but somehow spent a lot of time in Nefetari's art studio.
Afternoon shifted slowly, the studio had faced the open window in which darted to where the sun set would be. The white room glimmered and transitioned into a golden hue. Nefetari settles down on the floor, her little ones stopped running around when they saw their Momma at rest. Their small feet pitter patted on the floor as they walked towards their Momma's side.
Harvey couldn't help but soft smile at the loving sight, the twins must've seen themselves as Nymph's second skin which was why they stay attach to her. Their chubby shape leaning against their Momma made a cute shadow against the wall. Harvey's heart swelled, lovingly starting at them. She wished it was this easy.
"I wish you loved me." Harvey murmured and sighed before she starts walking towards them to join in. She had raised her white flag for a long long time but it was a bad thing they met again. Even with kids, Harvey truly had her admiration with Nefetari.
"I wanna join in too, can I?" Harvey grinned, her once sullen and serious expression had immediately changed into a playful one. The twins let out a noise, pouting at their Aunt before they each scurried to sit on their Momma's lap. Both fitting well on Nefetari. Nefetari could only laugh at the little possessiveness.
"Ah geez, I'm just gonna sit next to your Momma then." Harvey acted annoyed as she settles next to Nefetari, her head slowly leaning against Nefetari's shoulder.
"I have two chubby babies on my lap and your heavy head on my shoulder. You guys aren't giving me a good rest." Nymph said with a soft smile as she wriggled her shoulders to get Harvey away but the woman stayed glued onto her.
"This is a power cuddle." Harvey said as the little ones leaned on the Momma's chest, happily cooing and babbling. Nymph was filled with warmth. Harvey is sitting right next to her. Her little ones, Nymph felt loved.
"Right kids?" Harvey piped in.
The little ones bobbed their heads back and forth. "Yeah!" They both said in unison in a tiny pitchy voice, agreeing with what Harvey just said. Nymph let out a soft laugh as she petted their fluffy black hair.
"Don't encourage your Auntie." Nymph playfully said to the little kids not to make their Auntie Harvey their little inspiration when they grow up."Auntie bad." The little girl mumbled.
"Yeah bad." The baby boy said in a shy timid tone.
Hearing those, Harvey had spoken. "Hey I thought you two are on my side." Harvey crossed her arms. The woman's hand immediately crawled to the baby girl's sides, immediately tickling her. The little boy of course looked horrified and concerned for his Sissy. He quickly yet messily tried to pull his sister away from Harvey. Nefetari could only laugh at the chaotic scene infront of her.Hillary who was by the door of the studio room saw everything, she couldn't bring herself to know on the door. She had been standing for quite a while now. Just silently observing at the love and warmth all in display. Nefetari never looked so glowing in Hillary's view with the golden setting sun in front the window.
