Chapter 21

The morning sunlight struck against Nymph's soft honey like sin. The painter's sweat glistened against the sun, brows furrowed as her eyes focused on the canvas her light hand was guiding with the brush. It has been clearly forever since she had came back in this city. Nefetari never thought of counting the days, so long as she gets to have fun and do what she passionate. More importantly, her kids are in goo health, fed well and pampered with all the love she could give even igf she's busy. Nymph worked as an painter in a small museum, it was small but still booming with guest. She sells her painting. Nymph never considered going back to the music industry no matter how praised she was for her voice.

She looked at the window, it was bright and clearly so hot outside. The flickers of the car mirror reflects on the sunlight then to her studio. She lived quite a peaceful life, after Hillary's confession about her longing towards her, Nymph was distancing herself. She was afraid. Though Hillary could still visit only for the kids, it's something the little ones are used to do now so she couldn't fully get rid of Hillary.

Nymph was about to continue when her studio door opened and when she turned around, a small gasp escaped her lips as she saw Mrs. Vaughn. Hillary's Mother.

Nymph awkwardly smiled and looked around knowing too well that the old woman visits here at times for the little kids. She could only bring her twins at the art studio if no one would babysit them.

"I'm sorry Ma'am, my twins aren't here." Nymph said in an apologetic tone. The old woman just scoff and slipped a laugh, while she still invited herself inside the studio. Nymph stopped what she was doing and tried to put all her attention now on her just arrived guest.

"Oh dear, no. It's okay." Mrs Vaughn said and someone, Nymph was feeling something weird but she blames it on the brightness of the sun that's why she was feeling weird. Nymph stood up as she goes to offer her chair to the woman. The Vaughns have quite a share in this museum so Nymph had to fully be a heartwarming person.

"I wanted to talk to you." The voice had all tones of seriousness in it making Nymph quie bothered but she remained to fully flash a heart warming smile for her guest. Nymph felt her anxiety grow a little as she settles down beside the woman.

"I heard, you and Hillary are in the same condominium?" The old woman asked and it made Nymph curse deep inside her brain, it looked like other people had known where she lives now.

"Same unit. Ma'am. Not room." Nymph corrected not wanting any more scandalous words to spread everywhere. It'll stir up quite a lot of murmurs and gossips from the other families especially from the rich one.

Mrs. Vaughn hummed then nodded her head whilst she smiled little bit more. The whole room was quite filled with silence as the old woman continued to speak.Nymph thought she would be with the woman for a while but it looked like Mrs. Vaugh to go somewhere else. Nymph's smile got wider.

"Can I invited back in the house tonight?" Mrs. Vaughn spoke making Nymph tilt her head. Once that offering escapes from the woman's lips it took so many seconds to fully register in Nefetari's mind. She did not expect such an offer and it was so random Something out of the blue to even happen.

"There's a family dinner and I want to invite you." Nymph's breathe hitched, she felt like sh just straight out choked. This was clearly not one of her expected momentum in life. Nymph looked confused as she didn't know what to say and if she was going to just reject it. She would go to a literal family dinner. Nymph wanted to remind to old woman that she is no longer family but she didn't want this getting more embarrassing than it is.

Nymph cracked a smile on her face. "I would love to, Ma'am." She said in a wholle hearted voice.

"Thank you for your offer, Ma'am." Nymph wanted to sound like she was polite and that she was truly heart over heels to be happy about the invitation when clearly she's already stressed/
