Chapter 27

"Princess..." Hillary cooed as she gently tried to feed Niamh but the little girl simply puffed her cheeks and looked away. Nurieal copied his twin, before Hillary could even look at the little boy, Nurieal was already puffing his cheeks and looking away. Clearly mirroring what the older twin is doing.

"Woah..." Yelena noised out as she looks at Hillary slumped expression as the little kids sulked around.

"They're really holding the grudge for you." Nymph choked on her drink hearing her cousin's comment. Hillary and Nymph were currently visiting Olivia and Yelena's dear house. Olivia and Hillary had some business to deal with. Nymph brought the kids for their Auntie Yelena.

"I don't want them to hold a grudge that happened, two years ago." Nymph sais and she frowned, it was rather too late for the little ones to be holding a grudge on Hillary now after everything she had done for them and yet again, they looked back at the memory of their Momma, crying and basically all alone raising them. Whilst Hillary was not around.

Yelena hummed and gave her cousin a little side eye. "But they know you were hurt during those years." She softly said as she fixes her position in the chair she is currently sitting on. The two of them were on the third floor of the balcony, gradually lounging and drinking some tea as they carry on with their conversation.

"And now, they knew who caused that pain. It's going to be a rough one for Hillary to prove herself." Yelena continued, Nymph was well aware that her grudge didn't last too long. She just needed separation from Hillary. To be free and to not get hurt, even tho she was left in pain, she left not looking back.

Nymph forgave so easily because her heart was never tainted, she hid her emotions but that doesn't let her heart to stop beating for the same person who made her bleed. She always had a pure heart, to see the good in people. Even the ones who gave her the worst battles.

Hillary was her lesson and her tale.

"She might prove to you she had changed but a mind of a younger is different." Yelena continues to speak. Nymph looked down to see her little ones, grumpy and sulky but Hillary never backed down on following them and making them feel loved.

"Do you think they'll grow out of it. I feel bad for Hillary." Nymph softly said as she clasped her hands together.

Yelena shrugged. "Hillary seemed determined." Nymph let out a soft laugh at Yelena's words.

"She is but the moment we're alone, she gets to sulk because her own 'flesh and blood' is literally being mean to her." Emphasis on the 'flesh and blood' as Nymph continues to speak. I had been barely two weeks ever since the kids were introduced to their other Mother, weeks since they found out that their deeast good Auntie was the one who caused their Momma quite a melt down.

"You two live together now?" Yelena asked curiously.

Nymph shook her head, she was basically not ready to sleep in the same bed with Hillary, or so she was. She just needed to make sure Hillary would be welcomed and for the time until they're ready to shorten the gaping distance. "We possibly can't because of the twins' prying eyes." She joked slightly.

"I'm surprised they were not crying out to me about leaving. That'll be too much for Hillary." Nymph cringed a little, they were always spoiled little kids and when they get overwhelmed by something. They tend to get it away or they're the ones who distance themselves. It was basically how Nymph and Hillary deals with frustrating things. To go away for a while. It was a trait passed down to the twins.

"Maybe they're testing her." Yelena sips a cup of her tea before looking back down at the open yard.

Nymph softly smiled at the words. Maybe the little ones have a different test for their new Mother, to the parent they waited for so long to gave. "She's a Vaughn, she barely backs down." She said confidently before looking back at Yelena.

"And so are the little ones too, they held a grudge for two weeks, I am sure they can't keep on doing that for as long as they can." Yelena warned with a slight smirk on her lips. Nymph could only shake her head as sigh as she leaned against the couch. There was nothing getting out of Yelena's lips that aren't true. She is way too observant.
