"The third prince is dead."

....

Luiz's words were like a bomb thrown in a peaceful city, and very soon, the news spread around in the palace, and to every pack.

By now, everyone knew of the death of the third prince, and the already gloomy area turned even more gloomy if possible.

Sitting at the table in the dining room was Lisa.

The death of the third prince had made Marcos busier.

No matter how he claimed to hate his step-brothers, they were still his brothers in the end.

After receiving the news, Marcos was quick to set off, heading to the old palace.

Lisa stared at the plate in front of her, sighing.

The thought of Marcos going back to the palace worried her a lot.

Even as the smell of food drifted to her nose, it couldn't bring out her appetite.

"Your majesty," a voice called, snapping her out of her daze.

Lisa turned, looking at a lady standing with her back bent to her.

She was red-haired, and wearing a loose gown.

A few strands of her hair hung loose from her ponytail, adding a bit of sensuality to her.

Her name was Fiona and she was Aiden's mate.

Marcos had left Fiona to care for her while he was away.

Although Marcos didn't want to leave her alone considering what happened last time he left.

That was scary to him and even Lisa.

Standing in the huge dining hall were three other females— who stood at the far corner of the room, but they were silent.

With heads lowered, they stood like female warriors ready to defend yet, respecting her.

"Your majesty, it would be bad for your health if you continue like this," Fiona said with worry laced in her eyes.

"Lisa pursed her lips to stare at the table of food before her.

It's not like she doesn't want to eat, it's that she can't!

Despite how delicious the food seemed or how mouth-watering they smelt, she had no appetite.

Rather, she felt nauseous.

Fiona shook her head, "Your Highness, if you go on like this, your majesty would grow worried and he might take his anger on us."

Lisa gripped the spoon in her hand.

Somehow, Marcos had wormed his way into her heart, breaking every wall she built around her heart, but she refused to give in!

But yet… She didn't want Marcos to worry.

Lisa bit her lips.

The man had too much on his plate for her to be adding problems to it.

Sighing, she scooped a spoonful of rice, sending it into her mouth.

Shutting her eyes, Lisa chewed the food, swallowing forcefully; almost choking on it.

She stretched her hand, grabbing the glass beside her.

Sending the water down her throat to wash the disgusting taste off her tongue.

Actually, the food wasn't bad.

It was bland; to her at least.

The problem was her— she had too many thoughts in her head.
