So sorry for the delay. Again, I had problems with my wattpad. 😑

A stare down.

Two eyes met, one crazed, the other with panic.
One wolf and one human in a staring match.

One wrong move could mean the death of one of them.

Covered in blood and bruised, with her nose continuously dripping blood like it was liquid.

She swiped the blood off with her sleeve roughly, her messy hair trying to get in the way of her sight.

She blew harshly at the obscuring hair wishing to cut the damn thing.

Her feet tightened in her boots, showing her tension as she took some steps away from the huge wolf.

The door behind them, separated the two, isolating them from the rest of the world.

It was quiet here. So quiet the only thing loud was their heavy breathing.

Lisa swallowed, the spit almost getting caught halfway through her throat.

Her hands were spread apart, hitting and knocking over the dining chair behind her, but a particular one, so strong that it stood despite her strength.
Instead, it brought her pain.

Her head snapped at the chair,  observing it briefly before she fixed her eyes on the wolf before her.
She couldn't even think of letting him out of her sight.

The chair was tall. A little taller than her, yes. Even though she was standing.

It was red, with the handles and outer parts, covered in what she thought was gold or iron coated in golden paint.

Somehow, a smell hit her, a scent in particular. A scent, she knew so well and it belonged to someone she knew so much, even with her eyes closed, she could tell it was him.

The chair smelled of fresh breeze and forest trees. It gave off more than that but it was the only two she could confirm right now.

It was Marcos. The scent belonged to Marcos. It was his chair.

She gripped the chair hard. So hard, veins showed on the back of her hand.

She gripped onto the chair like it was a life support, unconsciously channeling her grievance and fear into it, her eyes turning red.

She blinked her eyes rapidly, forcing the tears at bay as they blurred her vision.

"Grr!"

It seemed the wolf was tired of watching her. It walked closer to her, resuming the dominance of a predator.

"Eeek!" She shrieked, "Stay away from me!"

A lot had happened tonight but this was the worst.
The wolf paused in its steps. Tilting its head, and shaking its huge head.

It wobbled on its paws, hitting the edge of the table with its body, sending the table moving with a screech.

The table almost tumbled at the force but somehow it didn't.

She looked at the wolf, hiding behind the chair. The wolf shook its huge head, the two ears behind its head, flapping.

"Aw!"

The wolf let out a whine, hitting its head on the table. This time on purpose.

The wolf felt out of its mind!

Something kept telling it not to attack this human, but the fog was too thick and there were voices in his head telling him otherwise.

It hit its head again, trying to clear its head and keep out those damned voices!
