-Naruto POV-
I was sitting on top of the arena wall, when Kakashi appeared next to me. "Do you know what's going on with Sasuki?" He asked.I shook my head. "She's been upset a lot lately." I said.
He nodded. "You should take it easy on her, give her a chance to demonstrate her skill." He said.
I shot him a glare. "You think Sasuki would like that? You don't know a damn thing about her. She'd never forgive me if I did that." I said as I stood up.
I jumped down to the Arena floor right as Shisui walked out. Sasuki was with him. The arena was quiet and everyone had taken their seats. "It's time for the final match everyone! The Sharingan Princess versus Naruto of The Demon Step!" He called.
I nodded. "I like that." I mumbled.
Sasuki had a look of pure ice on her face, but I knew there was more behind it. Something was upsetting her. I shook my head and smacked my cheeks, focusing myself up and flipping my personality switch.
I caught a glimpse of a smile from her. Shisui gave us the signal and the first thing I did was start thunder stepping, making it so I couldn't hear her. I did a series of handseals as I ran. "Suiton: Hidden Mist Jutsu!" I called before filling the arena with mist.
I activated my eyes and locked onto her, she hadn't moved at all. I immediately knew what was going on. I did a handseal and broke the Genjutsu, I was still standing where I started and Sasuki was closing in, but she was moving way too fast for her. I dispelled the second Genjutsu and for good measure, I tried again only to find I was in the real world. Sasuki was about three feet away, getting ready to lunge with her Tanto.
I jumped over her, then thunder stepped away before doing a series of hand. Suddenly I felt a pain in my stomach. I broke the genjutsu to find Sasuki had buried her Tanto in my gut. I kept my chakra destabilized as I grabbed her wrists. I pulled her hands apart and head butted her in the nose. She flashed her sharingan, but I was already counteracting her genjutsu. I drop kicked her, sending her skidding away.
I did a series of hand seals, briefly returning my chakra to normal. "Suiton: Hidden Mist jutsu!" I called before filling the arena with mist. I destabilized my chakra, only to find her charging me and nothing had changed.
I felt another pain, but this one was in my shoulder. I flared my chakra destabilizing it as much as I could and revealed that she had stabbed me again.
"You found another way to administer Genjutsu." I said.
She smirked. "Maybe." She said.
I closed my eyes and listened for any unusual sounds, but I didn't hear anything. I sniffed the air and I smelled roses. That was it, she had figured out how to use smells to cast genjutsu. I let out an untamed blast of wind that blew away all smell.
I did a series of hand seals, then slapped my palm to my forehead. "Heavenly Seal: Clear Sight!" I called and kanji spread over my face.
I stopped disrupting my chakra. "Jaku Vein!" I called before Gale Stepping towards her.
She managed to dodge and stuck me with a senbon. I rolled away from her. I started hearing laughter all around me.
I created a Howling Blade and dashed at her. She grinned and I jumped to the side, getting the feeling that she was going to do something to me. As I moved away, paranoia set in.
I started hearing words. "You shouldn't have lived that night." One said.
I whipped around, trying to find the source. "Shut up!" I said back.
