-Naruto POV-
I had just finished my morning training and I was onto more important things. I was in the courtyard, sitting by the pond. I had Fuu in my lap.

I did the Shini hand seals. "Fuu." I said and suddenly she was in front of me, she still had that light in her eyes. "Hey Naruto!... how am I here? I thought I died. You look way different!" She said.

I smiled sadly. "You did. I just, I needed to see you again." I said.

She raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Did you have a crush on me? Huh?" She teased.

I chuckled at her teasing. "No, you're more of a sister figure." I said.

She sighed in an overly exaggerated manner. "Dang, we would've made a cute couple." She said.

I nodded. "Maybe." I said.

She bent down and got in my face. "So why am I here?" She asked.

I hesitate, unsure of what to say, so I just let the words flow. "I- I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I saved so many that day, but I couldn't even save my own friend." I said.

She busted out laughing. "Naruto, you didn't do anything wrong. I was killed right after Sasuki took you down, there's nothing that could've changed what happened. None of us could've predicted that invasion and if we had, we'd have no way of knowing the scale of it." She said.

I looked down. "If I'd been faster back then, maybe I could've-"

"Naruto! 'If's don't mean a thing. It happened, the moment is gone. No one can change that. I died fighting for the people who gave me a home, I couldn't have chosen a better way to go. Now stand up and move on Mister. I died with a smile, I'm ok with that." She said.

I chuckled. "You sound like my mom. Ok, I'll do my best." I said.

She crossed her arms. "Damn I would've made a great mom. Now let me rest. I don't remember the particulars, but wherever I was, it was nice." She said.

I looked around, in the middle of the pond was a rock sticking up above the water. I walked over to it and stabbed Fuu the sword into it. "Go, rest." I said and she disappeared with a smile.

I sighed as I felt a feeling of relief wash over me. "Damn, that was therapeutic. Ugh, now I have to confront the whole Sasuki thing." I said as I before walking to the front of my house.

After a shower, I went to the Uchiha district. I was wearing my hat, but not my cloak. When I got there, I found Itachi walking around with Izumi.

I smiled. "Well look at the happy couple." I teased.

Izumi smiled. "Naruto! It's good to see you. What's with the hat?" She asked quickly refocusing the conversation.

I chuckled. "I like it. I've been through a lot with it. Why? Does it not look good?" I asked.

"Maybe if you were wearing a coat, but not like that." She said harshly in a sweet tone.

I chuckled and sealed it away. "Itachi, can I speak to you briefly?" I asked.

He nodded. "Izumi is up on all our drama, we can talk in front of her." He said.

I nodded. "Dang, it's getting serious. Uhm, have you talked to Sasuki?" I asked.

He nodded. "Yes, I decided it was best to nip it in the butt. If you're looking for her, she's at the house." He said.

I nodded. "Thanks big bro. Bye Izumi." I said before walking away.

As I walked, my hands were in my pockets. Soon I was a block from the house and I could see Sasuki brooding in my old window sill. I flash stepped up to her and sat next to her. "Brooding huh?" I asked.
