Chapter 23

3rd person pov

The duel between Kaiba and Pegasus was about to begin. At first Seiko wanted Pegasus to use her new duel system but when he brought out the soulless Mokuba to duel for him causing her some emotional damage she decided to use the system but duel the old fashion way. 

"We'll duel on your terms just keep my little brother out of this." said Seiko

"So rather than duel your empty shell with the device she perfected,  he'll give me the home field advantage. Fine with me. Take him away." said Pegasus before his men took Mokuba away.

"You creep." said Seiko

"Watch yourself, Kaiba. You're in my world now. said Pegasus snapping his fingers and the bridge that they were standing on started to pull apart and a duel area started to come down and attached itself to both ends of the bridge.

"Kaiba, you gotta believe in the heart of the cards! It's the only way to rescue Mokuba!" said Yumi

"Huh? Keep out of this. I'm fighting this duel my own way." said Seiko.

""Just remember it takes more than a strong monster and clever strategies to win this. That Millennium eye Pegasus has changed everything. You have to--" said Yumi

"Yumi, don't forget Kaiba's the one who took five of your stars." said Joey

"Joey's right." said Nicolas.

"I know. But I also know what it's like to be dueling for someone you care about, and I couldn't live with myself if I held back on anything that could help Kaiba get her brother back! said Yumi

"Yumi, you're a good duelist, but I don't need your help. It's my battle to fight now, and I will win." said Seiko

"Poor fool. She needs all the help she can get." said Pegasus

"We've known each other for a long time, and now we'll see if the master is the duel monsters creator or the champion! You have nowhere left to hide, Pegasus." said Seiko before they started to duel.

Nicolas Pov

I watched the duel unfold with a serious look on my face observing each card the both of them played.

"I think Kaiba has this duel in the bag." said Demise

"I won't be so sure Demise. With that eye of his who knows what tricks Pegasus will use." said Ruin i which I had to agree. I witness first hand the magic powers of the item when he took Yumi's grandpa's soul away. While the duel was going on I noticed Pegasus had played several cards on I never heard about called toon world that changed the whole duel turning it into his favor.

"Toon word I never heard of that card. Have you Yumi?" asked Mai

"I have but it was so powerful it wasn't put into circulation." replied Yumi.

"This is bad." said Ruin and bad it was not only did Pegasus had a strong card he even went and took out both Kaiba's Blue Eyes White Dragons. With both of his dragons gone Kaiba had no way of winning the duel even when he tried to use the same tactic she used on Yumi it backfired on her for Pegasus used the spell card doppelganger to copy her crush card virus infecting his dragon piper with it and when Kaiba's sword Stalker went in for the attack it and along with all the monsters in her deck and hand was infected it was over for she had no other cards in her deck except for saggi the dark clown that she brought back with monster reborn but still that didn't help her for she lost her duel.

"Looks like with no more cards to play you lose Kaiba girl and not only did you lose the duel you lost your soul as well." said Pegasus before he used his eye to trap her soul in a card leaving her body a empty shell before her body was taking away. My blood was boiling after what I saw.
