HERO'S POV...
"AUBREY, WHAT THE HELL?!!" I shouted angrily, almost lunging at her. Kim and Angel jumped in the way, blocking me from beating the absolute SHIT out of her.
"It needed to be done," she muttered under her breath. "NEEDED TO BE DONE?!! You might've just given her a concussion! She could be going into a coma right now! You might've just killed somebody, Aubrey!!"
Angel tried to come to the rescue. "There was a bug on the back of her head!"
Keyword "tried".
"Smacking someone's head with a baseball bat with that much force is not something you do! Especially when it has sharp edges of metal attached to it!!" I protested, motioning towards (Y/n) to prove my point.
She groaned in pain, sitting up. "Ooowwwww..." I immediately went to her, pulling out a first aid kit. "It's okay, (Y/n), you'll be okay, everything is fine..."
I was telling most of this to myself to avoid having a panic attack.
"I'm... fine, I'm fine... just a little headache..." "R-right, well, we're gonna go get some help for you, okay? Simple bandages won't work forever..."
I quickly wrapped the bandage around her head, trying my best not to freak out. Helping her to her feet, I sent a glare towards Aubrey. "You've changed, Aubs. And not in a good way... Mari would be disappointed."
"What Mari thinks doesn't matter anymore, Hero! She's dead! You should know this, since you were the one who replaced her with (Y/n) of all people!" She pointed her nail bat at me, trying to be threatening. (Y/n) looked like she was going to pass out any second.
"If you excuse me, 'Aubergine', I'd like to continue this conversation later when a good friend of mine isn't about to go into a coma." And with that, I lead (Y/n) away from the gang.
She stumbled, looking tired. "Stay awake, (Y/n)." No response. "..(Y/n)?.."

(Y/N)'S POV...
You're okay, (Y/n), don't follow the light. Listen to my voice. Listen to Mari. I'm right here, you're okay.
"Eugh.... Mari........" I muttered, trudging along, leaning against someone's shoulder. My head was stinging. It felt like it was on fire. I'm...so tired....
Don't fall asleep, (Y/n), come on. Listen to me. Pay attention to my voice. He needs you. Don't leave him. Promise me you won't. It's not your time yet, stay awake, for goodness sake...
"I....don't want to....." I felt the someone pick me up bridal style, saying something in my ear, but I couldn't hear them. Mari was becoming more and more clear, less faded. What's going on.......
I closed my eyes tightly, groaning as the pain ebbed away into a throbbing pain, not as bad, but still annoying.
"...Mari......" She reached her hand out to me, placing it on my shoulder, a look of determination on her face.
It's not time yet, (Y/n). Trust me. He needs you now that I'm gone. Make him happy. Give him the love and care he deserves, okay?
She then took her hand away. I tried lifting my hand to reach out to her, but put it down, realizing she was no where to be seen. I closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep.

HERO'S POV...
No, nonononono.... This isn't good at all, she's falling asleep, this is so bad!!
"...Mari......"

I ran faster, sprinting towards my car with (Y/n) in my arms. She was out cold. I couldn't lose her, not now, not after Mari, no, no, NO!!
I put her in the front seat, buckling her up and running to the driver's side. Turning on the ignition, I slammed my foot on the gas, making sure to flick on the hazard lights as I sped to the hospital.

I paced back and forth in front of (Y/n)'s hospital room, Kel sitting in a chair and tapping his foot nervously. Basil was there too, sitting in a chair in a corner quietly, a bit tense.
We spoke no words, because all of our thoughts were focused on the same one person, the same girl who was our best friend.
And someone who, I realized, meant a lot more to me than I had originally thought.
(Y/n).
I then vowed to myself, in that hospital hallway outside her door, that if- no, when this was all over, and she was okay, I would tell her.
I wasn't letting her leave my grasp as quickly as....
As quickly as Mari did.
I'm going to tell her.
I love you, (Y/n).....
