I refuse to believe I am Jay's true love. It's impossible, I can't be. I don't want to be his true love either. Despite the evidence proving I'm right, I can't stop thinking about what the guy said earlier about the way Jay looks at me.

Maybe Jay looks at me with soft eyes that always return to me, but the Prince of Hearts is looking at me with malice. During that conversation with the guy, the Prince of Hearts stood beside me.

I went downstairs again after searching through the second floor. I wanted to find Jay and ask if we needed to continue searching for the emerald or if it had been found. I ended up outside, walked around the corner, and saw him with a girl. She was resting her back against the wall, and he had his hands placed on her hips.

It does hurt seeing Jay with another girl like that. Not because of personal feelings towards him, but because I don't want him to ruin her life as he did with mine. Their conversation is mute due to the distance, but their facial expressions and body language say it all. It's obvious what's going to happen next.

"Hey!" I yelled.

They looked at me. The girl sighed in disappointment while Jay just stared at me. He started walking towards me without any last words to her, not even a goodbye. Jay took my hand and quickly left the girl alone.

"I'm sorry if I interrupted, but you didn't have to leave her alone like that," I said.

"There was no point. You kinda ruined the mood," Jay replied.

"Kinda?" I questioned with a chuckle.

Jay shakes his head while a hint of a smile is shown on his lips. I smiled as well, making Jay look at me with a raised eyebrow.

"What are you smiling at?" He asked.

"Nothing," I answered.

We went from a lively residence to an abandoned cottage. I assume it is abandoned due to the high grass around the cottage, moss all over the roof, spider webs, and broken windows.

I first suspected Jay could potentially have taken me to my death spot when we got to the residence. But now the risk of being killed by Jay is high. This is the perfect spot for murdering someone and getting away with it. There is no way people often visit this place. If I die here, I will rot away like everything else.

Jay knocked on the door, and a young woman opened it. She smirked while she looked at me. The type of smirk Jay usually has when he looks at me. We walked in, and as expected, it looked as abandoned on the inside as it did on the outside.

There was one big room with a round wood table in the middle. There were also bookshelves, paintings, and a cauldron. There are more things to look at, but I can only look at the table due to the odd placing. No chairs are around the table, either.

"Are you sure?" The young woman asked Jay while she looked at me.

"I am," Jay answered.

He lifted my hand and placed the emerald inside of it. Jay definitely knew where it was. He just wanted to get rid of me for a while so he could ruin more poor girls by kissing them.

"There is a mark on the middle of the table. Place the emerald there," Jay ordered.

I nodded despite my head being filled with questions since I saw this cottage. I need an explanation of what we are doing here and why. I want to ask, but both Jay and the young women have been staring at me for too long, and it's making me stressed.

I walked closer to the table and spotted the mark Jay mentioned. I placed the emerald on the mark, and surprisingly, it fit perfectly. And suddenly, the table started to turn around.

"Don't move!" The young woman yelled.

I froze and waited for the table to stop turning and permission to start moving. A staircase was revealed under the table. I looked over at Jay and the young women. He had his usual smirk, and she was in shock.

The table stopped turning, and I figured I could move again. The young woman was standing still as if her body turned into stone. Jay, on the other hand, continued to smile probably and went to check the staircase under the table.

"I can't believe it's her," She suddenly said.

"Who am I? What is going on? I hate how I'm always thrown into situations without any explanations or reasons why," I said.

"I could explain, but it would take too much time. However, the very short story is that you are doing your part of the deal," Jay replied.

"I am the reason why your heart is still beating, and the reason why it can stop beating. You, my dear, are the key to making me more powerful," He explained.

In other words, I am just a tool. I dont know why my heart is aching while listening to him. I already knew this, but it hurts hearing it again. Do I want to be Jay's little key and make him more powerful? Absolutely not. But if I die, so will Prince Heeseung.

I hate him. He knows he's evil, and he loves that. I hate him for it. Jay does all of this for his pleasure. He said it himself, I am just a key, a puppet he can control as much as he wants because he knows I will listen and follow his orders.

"And one more thing. We will stay the night," Jay said with a proud smile.
