"ugh, i'm bored!" Amari said. "maybe i should've filmed a video today? they go crazy for that roblox content." Amari pretended like he was tucking his hair behind his ear.
"please," i rolled my eyes, laying back on my bed as i scrolled on tiktok. "you hate making that roblox shit."
"nah for real," Kali laughed. "i miss my hoe Sha though." Kali sighed next to me, her feet on Amari's back.
we were all hanging in my room after going to the movies and getting food. Aiysha was with us be she didn't come over to my house, she decided to go see her man instead.
"fuck that hoe, her man more important than us," Amari said, scrolling on his phone. "ya'll know who's so fine..."
me and Kali gave each other side glances. "who?" we said, preparing for him to say someone outrageous.

i was still on the instagram app when my phone pinged with a notification. i glanced at the top of the screen, gasping as i quickly leaned up.
"what?" they both asked.
glancing up to look at them, my mouth was wide open as i held my phone in my hand. "yall won't believe who just texted."
"who?" they both sat up, clearing invested.
"gio," i whispered.
Amari and Kali grabbed onto each other. "shut the fuck up! answer," Amari moved to a position where he could see my phone, while Kali just looked over my shoulder.
i clicked on the message, my heart beating out my chest.
