- IMANI'S APARTMENT ! -

i sat on the couch with my laptop as i edited my recently filmed youtube video. 'sticky' was playing in the background as i nodded my head to the beat.

a knock sounded at my door, pulling me from my head and my macbook screen. i sighed, placing my laptop next to me before standing up, pulling my tank top down as i made my way to the door.

i opened the door, "ye-?" i stopped short as i took in who stood in front of me, wearing a long sleeve black shirt under her t-shirt and some washed out grey jeans with tims.

she lifted her head up upon hearing me opening the door, her messy bun tilting to the side a bit. "hey. can i talk to you?" she pointed into my house, searching my eyes for an answer.

i cleared my throat, "sure, yeah." i stepped to the side watching her back as she made her way into my apartment for the first time in months.

i was suddenly aware of what i was wearing and shifted slightly. "um, i'll be right back." i held up a finger and made my way to my bedroom and straight to the closets, pulling out a long cardigan.

"i'm just gonna make this quick," Gio said immediately as i walked back into the living room. "okay..." i nodded, standing in front of her and wrapping my arms around my body.

"some part of me just can't seem to let you go." she softly stated, staring down at me as she scanned my features-just like how she used to. "i care about you, a lot and..." she struggled with her next words.

"i miss you," she stepped closer.

my eyebrows raised as i stared her down, not believing that she was actually standing in front of me and admitting that she had missed me. me.

sure Karrah told me, but that's from Karrah's mouth not Gio's. but now she was standing in front of me, looking at me just like how she used to and is telling me that she misses me, even after everything i've did.

"why?" i asked, slightly confused. "i hurt you, Gio. i can admit-when i want to-when im wrong. i don't feel like i deserve to be missed." i give her a small hesitant smile, messing with my cardigan.

"trust me," she starts. "i know." i jerked my head back slightly and she stepped away from me with a small smirk, turning her back to me as her hands were stuffed in her pockets. "but you're a good person." she bit her lower lip.

i nodded, letting her continue; taking a small step forward with a tilted head to take in her expressions. "i've been wondering what would happen if i let this happen again." she motioned between us. "i don't like my odds but i do at the same time."

i sighed, trying to contain my smile. "what's your odds?"

she shrugged, "why you smiling for?" she narrowed her eyes, her head leaning back to take me in as she stepped closer, her chest almost touching mine.

i feigned confusion. "i ain't smiling, what you mean?"

she hummed, nodding her head as she smiled down at me-slightly revealing her grills that i missed so fucking much. "soo, can you give me another chance?" i asked, my chest warming with the feeling of hope.

she scrunched her face up and shook her head. "i don't know, i mean you ain't even tell me you missed me too so." she looked off towards my window, leaning her head towards me playfully to try to hear me.

i laughed softly, leaning forward as well towards her. "i miss you, Giovanna." i softly said.

she quickly leaned her head away from me as she frowned down at me. "the fuck you call me?" she asked me with narrowed eyes.

"Giovanna. deal with it." i grinned.

"mmh," she nodded, reaching forward towards me which made my heart beat a little faster than it already was. her hands grabbed both side of my cardigan and she stared at me with low eyes, her teeth sinking into her lip.

"just because i want to try again, doesn't mean i want to pick up where we left off. i wanna start new but for me to trust you, you have to prove that shit to me."

i gave her a single nod. "i know."

her hands shifted a bit causing me to glance at them, still wrapped around my cardigan, her thumbs ran up and down the soft material. "i'm going on tour with boat and the rest of them," she waved her hand, smiling as i chuckled. "ima be gone for 2 weeks."

"you want me to prove it to you," i rasped, tilting my head as i stared up at her and i was sure that my eyes held nothing but admiration.

"i do." she stated. "we'll talk every other day or everyday and you'll stay here and prove it to me." she leaned down slightly, her eyes going from mine to my lips that were parted a bit.

i swallowed and raised my head a bit to meet her half way. "and by you proving yourself to me, i ain't kissing you." she leaned away from me, leaving me to frown up at her with an offended look.

"yeah, yeah. i get it." i looked down but perked up when she placed a kiss to my cheek.
