Running back to her room, Amber grabbed a bag to pack stuff into. Not a pretty-attention-seeking bag, but a dark purple leather satchel that her father had given her for her birthday. She wasn't too sure what she'd need on The Isle, so she packed the bare minimum; her notebook, pens, and a few other necessities.
Next, she made her way to the room where Evie lived and had all of her fashion designs and outfits. She quickly rooted through everything in case Evie came in and started to question her. She wanted to say goodbye to everyone, but she knew her friends would only try and stop her. When she found an outfit that fit her and looked like it came from the Isle as well as fitting her style, she changed into it and made her way back to Mal's room.
Halfway there she turned around. There were people she had to say goodbye to.
Opening the wooden door of the castle, she walked in, putting her bag on the entry table.
"Hey Mom! Hey Dad!" She called out, making her way to their living room. There, her two parents were having tea.
"Hey Sweetie," her Dad greeted her, standing to give her a hug.
"My love!" Her Mother stood, gracefully waltzing over to her daughter and throwing her arms around her.
"I just wanted to come to tell you I'm leaving for awhile," Amber said, hoping they'd accept it.
"Are you sure, Sweetie?" Repunzel asked, brushing her daughter's hair out of her face.
"Yes. I need to experience a different lifestyle. It's not permanent, but I thought you should know."
"We'll always support you," Flynn began, "and we thank you for telling us, but we'll miss you."
"I'll miss you both too," Amber said reaching out for her parents to give them one last hug.
"Just remember," Flynn said, "guys are idiots," Repunzel laughed, "some of them are idiots."
"I'll try and remember," Amber laughed at her parents.
"We love you so much, my love," Repunzel said, joining the hug as the three of them sank to the floor, hugging.

"Ready?" Mal said, grabbing her lizard mother and putting her in a box she had stuck holes in.
"Yup!" Amber said, clinging to her bag, ready for this new chapter of her life.
"Let's blow this popsicle stand!" Mal laughed a bit through teary eyes.
Their journey to the Isle wasn't too long, they traveled on Mal's Vespa, a gift from Ben. As soon as they crossed onto the Isle, the atmosphere changed. It was darker, more humid than Auradon, but Amber found herself thinking she could get used to it. It was change and change was good.
