She knew what she had done, what she had risked by stopping Uma and letting Mal escape. She knew that she may never get back to Auradon, and while she hadn't wanted to go back earlier, she knew it was always an option she had. Now, she knew that going back wasn't an option.

"Get up," she heard a gruff voice order her, prodding her in the back with a sword. "Uma said to take you captive, get up!"

"I don't listen to you," Amber snapped at the unfamiliar pirate, shooting him a glare.

"But you will listen to me," the sly voice of Harry cut in, him stepping into her view, shoving the pirate out of the way and pushing her forward with his hook. "Now let's get moving, I don't have all day, love."

"Make me," Amber said, glaring at Harry as he began to move her along.

"As you wish," he smirked, controlling her steps, moving her farther away from the place her friends had escaped.

Leading her through the streets of the Isle, they finally stopped when they got to an old run down corner. Harry let go of her for a moment, "don't even try to escape."

He walked over to one of the stones that made up a wall, pressing it, which opened a tunnel. Regaining his grip on her, he maneuvered the both of them into the tunnel. The tunnel was pitch black, and it took Amber a few seconds for her eyes to adjust to the darkness.

"Down here," he moved her down the steep incline of the tunnel. They continued walking in the darkness until they reached a door with a torch next to it.

Harry pulled out a key, fitting it into the door and opening it.

It was a small room with walls  of rocks and a small window at the top of one of the walls that was covered in bars.

"Here we are," Harry let her go, Amber falling to the floor at the strength of the shove he gave.

"Home sweet home," Harry gave her a dramatic bow which only made her roll her eyes.

"What's the point of all of this?" Amber stood to face Harry, "why take me captive? What purpose do I serve?"

"It's more of a...what's the word?" Harry pauses for dramatic effect, a crazed look in his eyes. "compensation for loosing Ben."

"No it's not, Harry," Uma says, coming into the dark room, leaning an arm on Harry. "We have to as bait. We need Mal to come back and give us the wand. The real one. They'll give me the wand for you."

"No they won't," Amber lied. shit. she knew they would, or try something to get her back at least, and she couldn't risk that. Especially with cotillon coming up.

"Yes," Uma corrects, "they will, we just have to wait them out. C'mon Harry, let's leave our guest to get acquainted to her new living arrangement."

And with that, Uma left, leaving Harry alone with Amber. Throwing a wink to Amber, Harry left behind Uma.

Amber didn't know what time it was, but she assumed it was around 2am.

She couldn't sleep. How could she? She was on the cold hard floor being held captive. Pulling out her notebook, she flipped to an empty page. Then she remembered, it was too dark to write. She'd have to wait until it was light outside. She found herself drifting off to sleep with her notebook and pen on her.

"Rise and shine, lassy," Harry called announced to a groggy Amber.

"Fuck off, Hook," Amber turned over on the floor, "ouch," she grumbled, hating the uncomfortable floor.

"What?" Harry asked, crouching down to her level, "is something wrong?"

"Yes asshat, I'm sleeping on the fucking floor, what do you think?" Amber snaps at Harry, rolling her eyes and turning even further away from him.

"Someone isn't a morning person," Harry begins to pace.

"No, I'm just not a Harry person," Amber said, glaring at the wall.

"Oh!" Harry reached down to the floor next to Amber, "and what is this?" Harry reached for Amber's notebook.

"No!" Amber grabbed it before Harry could get his hands on it, "that's not for your eyes." she paused, "what do you even want? what's the point of coming in here? To annoy me?"

"Annoying you was more of a side quest," Harry drawled, not answering her question.

"Well if there isn't a point to this visit, can I get some alone time? I need some time to get used to this place during the day."

"Fine," Harry grumbled, obviously annoyed, "but don't even think of trying to pry the bars off of the window, it won't work."

"I won't," Amber flashed him a big smile, "oh! And while you're leaving, would you mind giving me a blanket, some food, and maybe even some water? Believe it or not, I need food and water to live!"

"I'll think about it." Harry grumbled

"Thanks!"

And then he left.

☀️☀️☀️

Opening her notebook, she turned to the empty page she went to last night. There was just enough light for her to see what she was writing.

"skies"
"pouring rain"
"broken"
"windows"

Those were the words that popped into her head. She didn't know she would incorporate these words into a song or a poem, but she had a feeling that she would have all the time in the world down in the dark room to figure it out. And as much as she hated to admit it, down in her cell, the inspiration had began to flow again.
