Back in Auradon, Evie and Amber giggled over the fact that their best friend was about to be proposed to.
"Do you think she'll say yes?" Evie asked
"You already know she will, she loves Ben and Ben loves her, they're perfect together," Amber says to Evie as they walk to the side of the stage just as Mal and Ben make their grand entrance.
"Here they come!" Evie cheers along with the crowd.
"Bibbity bobbity, one two, one two," the Fairy Godmother checks the mic before handing it to Ben.
It was crazy to think that her best friend since childhood was about to ask her other best friend to marry him. It was almost too perfect, but she knew Mal would say yes.
As Ben begins to talk, Amber things back to them as kids, Ben was always there for her, protecting her and standing up for her (not that she needed someone to do that for her) and now, he was all grown up and going to be engaged, she was proud of him.
And Mal, she couldn't believe she had once been evil. If her younger self had known she'd be best friends with the girl that used to push away Amber's hugs and glare at her for no reason, she'd be shitting herself.
But here they were, two of her best friends, both mature, about to be engaged to one another.
Ben began to sing to Mal, the song he sang all those years ago on the Tourney field.
"Aww," Amber out her hand over her heart and she and Carlos exchanged teary-eyed looks.
"This is so cute," Evie whispered to Amber and Carlos.
"I know," Carlos whispered back.
Finally, Ben nelt down on one knee, looking up at Mal saying "Mal it's you and me, it's you and me forever, will you marry me? Will you be my queen?"
Audrey yelled "No!" at the exact same time that Mal gasped, hands on her face, "yes!"
Everyone cheered as Mal and Ben kissed, Jay picking up Amber and twirling her around.
Putting her down, Jay walked over to Lonnie to cheering happily with her.
Before she could make her way over to Mal, Mal came over to her and Evie, rushing into their arms, "did you know?"
"Yes! We knew everything!" Amber smiled.
Just then she felt someone tap her on the shoulder, turning, she saw none other than...
"Ethan!" She squealed, jumping into his arms as he hugged her tightly, "you came!"
"Of course I did!" He chuckled, "I really didn't have a choice cause I knew you'd keep writing until I showed up!"
Laughing, she punched him in the arm jokingly, "come meet my friends!"
She lead her brother over to Jay and Carlos first, "Boy," she began, "I'd like you to meet my older brother Ethan, Ethan, this is Jay and this this Carlos, they're kids from The Isle!"
"Nice to meet you," Ethan bowed dramatically, "I hope my sister isn't too annoying?"
"Oh she's just terrible," Jay teases Amber, nudging her in the side.
"Yeah we can't stand her," Carlos adds, quickly adding after, "just kidding, we love her."
"Ok," Amber drags her brother away, leading him over to where Mal, Evie, and Ben are.
"Em, Eve!" Amber calls to them, "meet my brother, Ethan!"
"Nice to meet you," Mal goes to shake his hand.
"You too," Ethan smiles.
Turning to Evie, he gives her his best smile, "and might I say you look stunning. Hi, I'm Ethan," He takes her hand in his leaning forward to kiss it.
Flustered, Evie blinks a few times before replying with a small "Evie."
"Fuck off Ethan, she has a boyfriend," Amber kicks him in the shin lightly.
As if summoned, Doug appears next to Evie, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey guys, what's up?"
"Nothing!" Evie says, obviously still flustered, "nothing at all, we're soo good here!"
Rolling his eyes, Ben steps forward, "Hey man," he says, giving Ethan a hug, "how's college been?"
"So good!" Ethan says, "been learning tons of stuff," he pauses before continuing, "like shit and stuff."
"Quite the academic prodigy," Amber teases, Ethan throwing him a glare.
"We have to go!" Ben claps his hands together, escorting Mal to the car that just pulled up.
"I'll talk to you later,"Amber whispered to Ethan, "there's a lot I need to tell you."
Giving her a thumbs up, Ethan kisses her on the forehead before walking off, leaving Amber to get in the car and drive back to The Isle to pick up the kids.
