Chapter 18 : Friends

Gale's POV

Zephyr switched back with me immediately after Kane left, very grump I might add. I sighed as I covered myself with my hair, I said softly,"Sorry about Zeph, she's a bit moody today."

Ni smiled and plopped her self next to me on the couch, she said,"No worries!! I get how complicated you and your other people get!! I had a friend who was just like that! He was my best bud so don't worry."

She grabbed my shoulder as I yelped, she made a wave motion with her hands,"We're going to be best friends."

I blushed as I froze slightly, no one had ever out right said they were friends with me. I laughed a little, I said,"Sure, I'm fine with that."

That made her brighten up even more, she got up and said,"As our first act as friends, we should go hang out!! It'll brighten up everyone's day!!"

I hesitated, I asked Zeph in my mind but she ignored me, I sighed as I took off the hair tie, I smiled,"Okay!"

We went back to the streets and started walking, everyone on the sidewalks all still seem way to fast for me, I couldn't help but cling a little to Ni as a habit. I immediately stopped when I realized this, I yelped,"Sorry!"

Nilaya who was a bit shorted then me smiled,"It's really fine!! Here."

She took off the red scarf she was wearing and put in on me,"You look a bit cold."

I looked at her with amazement, ahh how can someone be this nice!?! Especially to me. I smiled a little bit as I thought to myself, she kind of reminds me of Ash.

We then walked a stair way that took you to a place where we got into a metal contraption that moved. I heard a loud screeching noise as I yelped as I gripped onto Ni for dear life. She grabbed my hand to reassure me, she said,"This is a train, it's a transportation vehicle so don't worry, its perfectly safe."

I didn't listen to her as I clinged onto her the whole way, frozen as a deer. We then walked for a few minutes were I spotted where we're going. It was a bit dark outside with the snow falling slowly so it was pretty clear to see what we were heading for, there were lights coming into a huge building were hundreds of people were pouring in and out.

As if she was reading my mind she said,"It's called a mall, a place where people go to shop, get food, and have fun!! Common."

I followed her closely to not get lost in the crowds of people, she said as we walked,"First clothes!! I noticed you seem like the type of person who uses the same clothes everyday."

I whispered softly as I felt anxious with all these people,"I wash them though-"

She grabbed my hands which made me jump, she looked at me with complete seriousness,"Your a women!! I don't know what happened that made you forget that but I can assure you I can help get you in touch with your feminine side, let's go!!"

We then went into a clothing store, we we walked through various clothing sections so big it made my head hurt. The last one I went to was so small compared to this one, I was basically dragged around as she got into a frenzy giving me clothes that she thinks would look good on me. I sighed as Iooked down at them, I wouldn't look good in any of this, my body was too deformed, scarred, ugly for this.

She made me go into a changing room, she said as she leaned against the door,"Call me if anything is too small or to big, I was just eyeballing it. Now put on each set I gave you and show me!!"

She closed the door behind her, there was a big fully body mirror infront of me as I looked at myself. I grew a bit taller this past month, but I was still pretty skinny, I had baggy pants on and puffy winter coat on with my long light brown hair laid messy my head and back. My hair used to be extremely long as there was no way to cut my hair in a cage, but now thanks to Kane my hair was now at waist length, which was still pretty long but I still like it like this to remind myself.
