I woke up pretty late for me, it already being 9 am by the time I woke up, which I could see on the alarm clock next to me.Ellie was still laying next to me, her head tucked in gently in the crook of my neck, soft snores indicating she was still asleep.
I wanted to savour every part of this moment with her. With Ellie. My Ellie. The way her arm was laid gently on my waist, her head just underneath mine.
I press a soft kiss to her head, making sure not to wake her up, before closing my eyes again, wanting to relax before having to get up, considering this was our day off.
Ellie woke up about 20 minutes later, her head slightly moving, indicating she woke up, though her eyes still didn't open, but her hold on my waist was tightened.
"Good morning, beautiful" I say once her eyes opened, while pressing another kiss to the top of her head.
"Mmmm, not awake yet" She replies, closing her eyes again, and moving to lay on my chest, replicating last nights cuddling.
I blush slightly at the thought, but chuckle at Ellie's reply, my hand going to her back, tracing small shapes on her back as we lay peacefully in bed.
Though the perfect moment is sadly ruined by the vibration from my phone, a call coming through on the phone that was discarded on the bedside, not charged much anymore.
Ellie's eyes open at the sound, her grip on me loosening slightly. But instead of answering the phone, I wrap my arms around her and close my eyes, keeping her close, not wanting the moment to end and hoping that the call will end soon. Which it does.
But then it starts again.
"Ugh leave us alone" I mumble, still not picking up the phone.
"I think it's important" Ellie mumbles, her head still laying peacefully on my chest.
"I don't care it's 8:30 in the morning"
"You should answer it Daan, it's clearly something important "
I sigh, but do reach out my hand to grab the phone, still vibrating furiously on the bedside.
I notice that it's Dama face-timing me, and make the quick decision that it's fine to answer the phone with Ellie still laying on me.
I answer the phone, whispering down to Ellie that it's only Dama on the phone, to which she nods slightly, keeping her head tucked under mine.
"Holy crap Daan what the fuck did I do?" Dama answers the phone, clearly in a panic, pacing around the room.
"Calm down what happened?" I answer, holding the phone above my head, keeping my face in frame, but not showing Ellies face.
"I got kind of drunk, didn't realise, and messaged her and asked her out for tonight"
"Ooooh you're going on a date with her."
"Yeah.. what do I do, i'm not prepared.. I haven't booked anything! I didn't realise I was even going on a date till this morning when she texted me she can't wait"
I chuckle first, amused by the story Dama is telling me. "Aww you really like her don't you"
"I don't exactly want to mess it up..." Dama says, stopping her walking around the room and looking into the camera. "Oh hey Ellie" Dama says, right as Ellie turns her head to the other side. But her face still wasn't visible to Dama?
"What?" I ask, looking confused at Dama as I notice her worried face break into a soft smirk, clearly amused with the situation.
"Oh come on you're not in your room.. and I see the top of some girls hair there.. of course it's Ellie... am I right?" She teases, the smirk on her face still lingering.
