Backstory

Aurora Matthews was a smart girl. Loved books with her whole heart. Though she was a greaser she dressed and acted more like a soc. She always wore pretty skirts and was well mannered.

One day her mother was killed in a terrible accident from a drunk driver. It basically broke Aurora. Her mother was all she had since her father was out of the picture. The only other family she had was her aunt and her cousin. Her aunt Laney was her moms sister and she had a son named Keith.

Aurora's POV:

I packed up a few things being sure to keep it light. I just packed up my clothes, my journal, most of my books, and some other important things. I had never met Keith before. I met my aunt Laney at a few family reunions and stuff but we werent so close. And know I'd be living with them..

Two-bit's POV:

I was so excited to meet Aurora. I never met her before. I hoped she would be nice. The whole drive there I just couldnt wait. I felt really bad about her mom but maybe I would be able to cheer her up. We pulled in to the driveway and my mom went in to go get her. I stood not too far behind her. Aurora opened the door with her bags packed but.. she looked like a damn soc? I smiled and waved. "Hi i'm Keith" I held my hand out for her to shake it. I was super hyper and energetic. we got back into the car. she was real quiet. my mom and I tried asking her questions and stuff but she kept her answers short. We got back home and I showed her to her room. then I decided to leave her alone. I didnt wanna bug her plus she must've been real sad.

Aurora's POV:

Aunt Laney was being really nice to me. I was super quiet though. I had a lot on my mind I guess.. Keith was really nice too he was just really energetic and happy. I unpacked my clothes into my new room and looked around. It was a nice small room. the bed was neat and tidy just like the rest of the room. there was a nice small desk next to the bed. It had a blank bulletin board hung above it. I sat on the bed and admired the room. It was around 11:00 so it was still early in the day. It was a saturday and normally me and my mom would've been baking cookies or watching a movie. But we werent.. She only passed a few days ago so this was the first saturday I didnt spend with her. Aunt Laney came in my room and asked if I needed anything. I just shook my head and smiled a bit at her and then she left my room.

Two-bit's POV:

I had plans to go out with ponyboy, johnny, and dally, at the drive in tonight. figured the nice thing to do was to invite aurora to come along too. she was in her room all day. she didnt even eat? I was slightly concerned but I guess when someone isnt hungry they dont eat. I knocked on the doorframe before walking in. She was reading a book.. what a drag! 'She would get alomg with ponyboy.' I thought to myself. Ponyboy is always reading or watching movies. or hes always talking about em. "Hey i'm gonna go see a movie with my friends in a little. you wanna come?" I asked her.

"oh uh yeah sure." She said with a nod.

"We might wanna get you some new clothes you look like a soc" I said and chuckled lightly.

"oh uh alright. im just gonna get changed then." She said with slight sadness in her voice. 'oh shit I shouldn't have said that' I thought to myself as I walked out.

Aurora's POV:

I started getting ready for the drive in. It was august so it was still kinda warm out. I remembered what Keith said about looking like a soc. I didnt wanna get teased by his friends so I put on a pair of jeans shorts and a white t-shirt with blue sleeves. I did some light makeup and then I was done getting ready. I went out into the living room and saw Keith drinking a beer on the couch watching mickey mouse. 'does aunt laney know he drinks?' I thought to myself and sat next to him on the couch.

"Hey nice outfit!" He smiled. 'shit I made her change all because of one comment' He thought to himself worriedly.

"Oh uh thanks" she nodded and watched the tv.
