Stargazing

Aurora's POV:

I woke up that morning the same time I always do. I didnt wanna go to school today because Ally wouldnt be there. she had a doctors appointment meaning I would be all alone. nonetheless I got out of bed and started getting ready. I put on a pink lacy tank top and a simple black skirt. on top I put on a white sweater so that my outfit wasnt too revealing. I wore my signature gold necklace that I wore everyday and sprayed some perfume. then I did my hair and makeup. for makeup I kept it simple like always. just some mascara, blush, highlighter, and lipstick. for my hair I just kept it down and didnt do anything special.

Outfit:

I went out to have breakfast with aunt laney and two-bit. Aunt Laney made toast, bacon, and scrambled eggs. I never cared for eggs so I just had bacon and toast. after breakfast we went out to two-bits car to go to school. his car wouldnt start. he tried to fix it up quickly but it was getting late and we didnt have time to fix it. school wasnt too far anyway so we just walked it. we stopped at the curtis house to get ponyboy and then we went to johnnys. we all got to school almost late but we made it.

I went to my homeroom like usual but I was alone since Ally wasnt at school. Homeroom went by quick before it was time for my next class. I got to math and greeted ms V before taking my seat. Ponyboy got to class and sat next to me just like he did yesterday. and soon after him cherry. once everyone was in class ms V started her lesson. I was paying attention but ponyboy seemed to be zoning out.

"Mr curtis can you tell me whats the answer to this problem?" ms V said snapping him out of his thoughts. he looked at the board at the problem trying to figure it out. "the answer is 42" I whispered to ponyboy.

"uhh 42?" He said. "yes correct" ms V said and went back to her lesson. ponyboy looked at me and mouthed the words 'thank you' I winked at him before turning back to the lesson.

My next class was study hall in the library. I decided to use the time to work on the science project since me and pony spent the whole time yesterday just talking about movies and books and stuff. I pulled the poster out of my bag and spread it out onto the table I was sitting at. I started writing down the decomposers, consumers, and producers, of the ocean and its animals because thats what we were assigned to do. we got put in charge of the ocean module for the project.

Ponyboy's POV:

I was zoning out in class daydreaming. it was about aurora....for some odd reason. I dont know how or why I was dreaming about her of all people. I was snapped out of my thoughts by ms vaine calling on me to answer the question on the board. I had no clue what the answer was. luckily aurora told me the answer. I used what she told me to answer the question and then ms vaine went back to teaching. I thanked aurora and she winked at me. My heart almost leaped out of my chest when she did that.

I walked into study hall and saw aurora working on our project for science. johnny was with me. i didnt know if I should go help her with the project or just talk to johnny.

Aurora's POV:

I saw ponyboy and johnny get to the library since they were in the same study hall as me. I saw ponyboy just looking at me while johnny talked to him. he was clearly thinking about something. sure enough a few minutes passed and he and johnny walked up to the table I was at. "hi rory" Ponyboy said. "hi" I smiled and went back to the project. "whatcha workin on?" Johnny asked. "just a project for science" I said. Ponyboy helped me on the project and then the class was over.

I went to english class which was boring just like it always was and then next was lunch. I wasnt looking forward to lunch since I would be alone. I sat at a small table by the window and opened my journal. I tried thinking of something to draw but my mind was blocked. I had no idea what to draw. my hand just started writing something down. on the page I wrote

I stared down at my journal taking in what I just wrote. 'wait what? I barely even know him..' I thought to myself as I stared down at the paper. suddenly ponyboy and johnny came up to my table with two-bit and steve following behind them. I quickly shut my journal and looked up at them. "hii" I smiled at ponyboy. "how come your all alone?" Two-bit asked. he seemed sorta protective. "oh well Ally isnt here today so-" I said. two-bit, johnny, steve, and ponyboy, all pulled shairs from the side and sat down with me at the table. "what were ya writin?" johnny asked. "oh nothing I was just drawing." I said.

After school.

Aurora's POV:

I sat in my room reading my book but I couldnt get ponyboy out of my mind. I couldnt stop thinking of what I wrote in my notebook. I was broken out of my thoughts by a knock on my door. "come in" I said and two-bit opened the door. I shut my book and looked up at two-bit. "you read books? man your like an exact copy of ponyboy beside the fact you dress and act like a soc!" He chuckled and I laughed a bit faintly. "anyways dinners ready if you wanna eat" He said. I nodded and he walked out. I hadnt realized how much time that had passed. and I didnt read my book at all. I was still on the same page that I was on when I opened it. I went out to have dinner with aunt laney and two-bit.

After dinner I went back to my room. I had so much things on my mind and I needed to clear my head. I decided going on a walk would help. I asked aunt laney if I could and she said to be careful. I grabbed a coat and headed out of the house. I walked and ended up at this empty lot with some old car seats on the ground. odd but I sat down on them. it was layered with some old newspapers that surprisingly hadnt blown away in the wind. I looked up at the stars that filled the night sky so beautifully. then I suddenly noticed someone walking up to me. I got scared but as they got closer I recognized them more. It was ponyboy.

"aurora?" he asked.

"yea?" I replied.

"what're you doin out here?" He asked.

"just had a lot on my mind.." I said.

"oh....me too." He said and sat next to me.

I went back to looking up at the stars and so did he. "beautiful aint it?" he asked. "yeah sure is" I smiled up at the sky. we stayed there talking and gazing up at the stars for a little before I decided I should probably head home before aunt laney got worried. we said out goodbyes before I headed home.
