Today was the day of the scholarship interview process. Mithali gathered all the CA team freshers and addressed them.
"I have some meetings with the principal today, so I won't be conducting the interviews. Another person will be handling them," Mithali announced before leaving for her meeting.

Avni waited anxiously for her turn, her mind racing with thoughts of how important this scholarship was for her family. Finally, her name was called. She took a deep breath and walked into the interview room. To her shock, she found Sanjay sitting in the interviewer's chair, smirking at her.
"Hello, Avni," Sanjay said, his eyes glinting with malice.
Avni forced herself to stay calm and confidently took a seat across from him.
"Alright, let's get started," Sanjay began, flipping through her application file. "You have quite an impressive record here."
"Thank you," Avni replied, her voice steady despite the unease she felt.
Sanjay leaned back in his chair, his smirk never fading. "You know, Avni, there's more to getting a scholarship than just good grades and a great performance. Sometimes, you have to... make certain compromises."
Avni's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?"
Sanjay's eyes darkened as he leaned forward. "If you agree to spend one night with me, I'll make sure you get the scholarship. Otherwise, you can forget about it."
Avni's blood ran cold. "That's not right. This scholarship is supposed to be based on merit, not... this."
Sanjay chuckled. "That's the way the world works, sweetheart. You play by the rules, or you get nothing."
Avni felt disgusted and trapped. She could feel her hands shaking but tried to maintain her composure. "No. I won't do it."
Sanjay's expression hardened. "Think carefully, Avni. This is your one chance."
Unable to take it anymore, Avni shot up from her seat. "This is wrong, and you know it."
Without another word, she bolted out of the room, her heart pounding in her chest.
Outside, Neil was waiting for her. He saw the distress on her face and immediately grew concerned.
