Now I know we're not meant to be,
Yet I thought our love was destiny.
You won't hold my hand, it's clear,
Even if you tried, we'd fall from here.My heart still longs for those "I love you's" true,
But guilt colored your view.
Don't say those words if they aren't sincere,
You were the best thing that happened here.I dreamed of us in a small home, serene,
Cute kids, us cooking, a perfect scene.
My eyes still water with the plans we made,
In every universe, together, we'd have stayed. But now, I doubt our love's sweet tale,
I doubt your existence, frail.
I doubt what we had was true,
Yet some part of me believes in you.I wish, oh how I wish it was real,
That the love we shared, I could still feel.
