Chapter 11 - You're Scaring Me (TW- Violence)

I woke up around 11, getting ready and heading downstairs. My parents both sitting on the front porch with their coffees. "I'm going to get something to eat. And to the grocery store. Do you guys need anything specific?" I say while walking down the steps. "No we don't need anything. Drive safe!" My mom says smiling. I head to Tim Hortons for breakfast and then head to the grocery store. I message The Guys on the way in, "cooking stream later? Not online but in discord?" I hit send and grab everything I need. My phone not getting a single message back. Weird. I thought, it's around 10am for them and usually they're all awake. I pay for my groceries and head home.

A couple hours pass and still no response from any of the guys. I decide to message Rectrixx privately. "I'm gone for one day and all you guys disappear? 🫠" It took a while for him to message back. "Oh yeah we're busy filming today. I'll tell the guys to check the discord!" Well, at least there's a good reason.. I head up to my room, putting on the latest Droid video, and lay in bed and mindlessly scroll social media. I end up falling asleep to him yelling.

I hear a knock on my door, my dad opening it. "A, hey dinners ready. Wash up okay?" My dad says gently shaking me awake. I check my phone and see it's already 5pm, with only a single message from Pezzy. I open it up, and it's a photo of Droid and Grizzy sitting across from each other with a meme video in between them.

Annelise: Woah spoilers come on!

I hit send, and head down to wash up. Sitting at the table with my parents eating dinner, them just making small talk. "So A, I've done some research. You ready to start applying for citizenship or a visa? We can start after dinner." My dad says. "Yeah absolutely!" I say with the biggest smile on my face. We finish dinner and my dad brings out his laptop, showing his ten different tabs open. "Geez dad, you can hit the little x to close these." I say laughing. "We need all these. They are to apply for citizenship, set up an American bank account, all the necessary forms we need. Oh and my online solitaire game." He says clicking the first tab open as we both laugh. We fill out the citizenship application first, the sooner the better. Then completing every form, feeling like a billion hours when it's only been 3, having to run back and forth for every document they need and scanning them in.

Once done, I head up to my room. Checking my phone to see a message from the guys.

Puffer: Annalise get on. I wanna see this cooking stream.

Grizzy: Fuck are you a good cook? You should've cooked for us when you were here man.

I see that all the guys are in the call, grab my laptop and head downstairs to the kitchen, placing my laptop on the kitchen counter. I join the call and turn on my camera, grabbing everything I need. "Wow look who decided to join?" Rectrixx says, showing the living room of Puffers house. "Wow you graced us? My lord!" Droid says laughing while bowing his head. "Ha ha. Sorry I'm late, we were filling out documents for a dual citizenship. We filled out all the necessary forms." I said while pouring flour into my bowl. "Yadda yadda. What are we cooking?" Grizzy says while seemingly looking intense at my stream. "Chocolate chip muffins from scratch. Store bought ones are okay, but nothing beats homemade." "Okay but can you mail them?" Grizzy says. "Uhm no. I'm not doing anything that could risk me not being able to get dual citizenship." I say laughing. "But - when I eventually move there, it'd be cool to have a little house warming party. To show off just how well I can cook. Oh and you know, to see you all again I guess." Causing a couple hurt looks. I noticed Pezzy hasn't said anything, I take a Quick look at his camera and see he's intently staring at his screen, then all of a sudden he's smiling into the camera.

I finish baking the muffins, leaving them wrapped in plastic wrap. I head up to my room with my laptop, sitting at my desk. "Guys I'm going to bed. I had fun." I say while the guys are all talking about some horror game. "Goodnight princess" Pezzy says out loud. "EWWW! My ears!" Droid yells ripping his headphones off and clawing at his ears. "Damn it's not that dramatic dog...goodnight Annalise!" Grizzy says followed by a chorus of goodbyes. I leave the call, sitting at my desk for a while. How is this my life? I get ready for bed, opening my phone to a random text.
