I heard from my dad 'what goes around comes around'. Ashish got exactly what he deserved for his actions, and for those things he never should have done. I know Ashish's death will cause quite a stir, but it will also instill fear in those who oppose us.

In the underworld, survival isn't for the faint-hearted. It's a life of constant vigilance, where one mistake can mean the difference between power and oblivion. I've embraced this world, navigating its treacherous waters with a mix of cunning and ruthlessness. Each decision I make, every move I plan, is a step towards solidifying my dominance and ensuring that my name is synonymous with respect and fear. In this life, you're either the hunter or the hunted, and I've made sure I'm always the former.

"Sir, ma'am hasn't come home yet." My eyes were glued to the laptop screen when Lucy's words pierced through my thoughts.

I started Lucy with my darken gaze. "And you're telling me this now?" My voice was just shy of a shout.

"S-sorry, sir."

"Out." Lucy scurried away in a flustered hurry.

I picked up my phone from the table and started pacing the corridor, dialed Sameer's number. The call was picked up after just two rings.

"Hello."

"Aarini is at the bar ?."

"The bar is closed today," Sameer replied from the other end.

I glanced at my wristwatch. It was half-past ten at night.

Disconnecting the call with Sameer, I immediately dialed Rahul's number.

"Rahul, you have five minutes to track Aarini's location and tell me where she is." I cut the call without waiting for a response.

My mind was racing as fast as the car speeding down the road. Trees and streetlights blurred past in a dizzying rush. I was headed to the location Rahul had traced-somewhere near the Bhatt Group's office. But what was she doing at the office this late? I hoped she was safe.

Lost in my thoughts, I was jolted back to reality when the car screeched to a halt.

"What happened? Why did you stop the car?" I demanded from Raj, who was driving.

Raj's eyes were fixed on the road ahead. "Boss, there's a crowd. Looks like there's been an accident." He reached for the car door.

I stopped him. "You stay here. I'll check it out." I ordered.

My heart pounded as I stepped out of the car, my mind conjuring up all sorts of scenarios. Was Arini involved in the accident? I couldn't afford to lose her, not when everything in my life was so precariously balanced. Each step towards the crowd felt like a journey through quicksand, every thought pulling me deeper into a mix of anger and anxiety.
