Me, Samir, and Vedant hurried to the private cabin in the bar, our conversation interrupted by a loud, unmistakable sound.
"Was that a gunshot?" Samir asked, his voice tinged with panic.
"That was definitely a gunshot," Vedant said, springing up from the sofa and sprinting toward the hall. Me and Samir followed closely behind.
As I entered the hall, my veins tightened, and my blood began to boil. The scene before me was enraging.
Aarini stood there, tears streaming down her face, fear etched into every line of her features. She was trembling, visibly shaken.
My eyes locked onto the man standing behind her, his gun aimed at her head, his gaze dripping with lust as he ogled her face.
How dare he? How dare he threaten my woman?
My fists clenched involuntarily. The urge to incinerate him where he stood was overwhelming, but I knew the priority was to get Aarini out of harm's way. Only after ensuring her safety would I deal with him, making him pay for every second of terror he inflicted on her.
I took a step forward, but the man pressed the gun harder against her temple, causing my blood to boil even more.
"One more step and the girl is gone," he snarled.
His eyes roamed over Aarini, and he licked his lips. "What a beauty," he murmured. "You're exquisite, aren't you?"
I wanted to rip out his tongue, but with his gun aimed at Aarini, my options were limited. I needed to think fast.
Just then, I noticed Rahul and Raj slipping through the entrance, moving quickly and quietly. They were now positioned directly behind the man.
I caught their eyes and signaled with a subtle nod. Rahul and Raj both nodded back, understanding my silent command. They drew their guns, aiming at the man's legs. Raj glanced at me, waiting for the signal.
The tension in the hall was palpable. Aarini's fear was a tangible thing, her eyes wide with terror, and her body visibly shaking. The man holding her captive was a picture of malevolence, his eyes gleaming with dangerous intent, and a sneer twisting his lips.
I took a deep breath, my mind racing.
This man had dared to touch what was mine, only mine, to threaten her.
My rage simmered just below the surface, but I forced myself to remain calm, focused.
"You're playing a dangerous game," I said, my voice low and menacing. hoping to buy just a little more time.
"Shut up," he snapped, pressing the gun harder against Aarini's head.
Raj and Rahul were ready. One move, one distraction, and they could take him down. I just needed to give the signal. I took a step forward, my eyes never leaving the man, ready to end this nightmare and save Arini from his clutches.
