The dawn of the fourth day at Serenity Vale High School brought with it an eerie silence. The constant tension from the past few days had taken its toll on everyone. The haunting growls of zombies and the uncertain future loomed large over the Horizon Shadow Class.
Max gathered the group in the gymnasium for the morning briefing. The room buzzed with murmurs of anxiety and fatigue as the students assembled. “Alright, everyone,” Max began, his voice steady despite the exhaustion evident in his eyes, “today we need to focus on exploring the school’s surroundings more thoroughly. We’ve got to find out where these zombies are coming from and secure any additional resources we might need.”
Olga, still adjusting to the weight of her new responsibilities, chimed in, “We should also check the nearby neighborhoods and see if there are any survivors. They might have useful information or resources we can use.”
Novelyn, who had been organizing the supplies, nodded in agreement. “I’ll lead a team to the residential area. If there are survivors, we need to know. We should also be on the lookout for any more supplies we can use.”
Ransyam, examining the school’s reinforced barricades, added, “We should also double-check the perimeter for any weak spots. We don’t want to be caught off guard if there’s an attempt to breach our defenses.”
The group split into teams, each with a specific task. Max led one team to explore the nearby businesses, while Novelyn's group headed towards the residential area. Shamir and his team continued fortifying the school’s defenses.
In the school’s makeshift armory, Farhanah and Mae were preparing supplies for the day’s missions. “We’ve got to make sure we have enough ammo and medical supplies,” Farhanah said, organizing a box of ammunition.
Mae, carefully checking their medical kit, replied, “I think we’re running low on some of the more critical items. I’ll make a list of what we need and see if we can find more during our search.”
Farhanah nodded, her face showing determination. “Let’s make sure to gather everything we can. We don’t know what we might encounter out there.”
Meanwhile, Max’s team ventured into the deserted shopping district. The streets were eerily quiet, the silence punctuated only by the distant, haunting moans of zombies. The group moved cautiously, their senses on high alert.
Olga, scanning the area with her flashlight, whispered, “It’s too quiet. I don’t like it.”
Filbert, camera in hand, added, “We need to stay alert. If something happens, we need to be ready.”
As they explored, they came across an abandoned hardware store. Mary cautiously pushed open the door. The interior was dimly lit by the light filtering through grimy windows. Inside, they found useful supplies—tools, more weapons, and even a few cans of food.
“This is a good find,” Mary said, surveying the inventory. “Let’s gather what we can and head back to the school.”
The group quickly filled their bags with supplies. As they were about to leave, they heard a rustling noise from the back of the store. max signaled for silence and moved cautiously towards the sound. They discovered a hidden door leading to a small office, where they found a radio transmitter.
“Look at this,” Shenny said, examining the device. “This could be useful. Maybe we can get a signal out and contact other survivors.”
Meanwhile, Novelyn’s team was busy searching the nearby houses. They had found a few survivors, who were understandably anxious. One of them, an elderly woman named Mrs. Thompson, sat huddled in a corner of her living room, clutching a blanket.
