The tension inside Serenity Vale High School was palpable. As the night deepened, the eerie silence was punctuated by the occasional distant groan of the undead. The Horizon Shadow Class had faced harrowing trials, but their toughest challenge still lay ahead.

In the gym, Shenny, Lorenda, Intan, Ransyam, Daryl, Evagellina, Sherlyn, and Novelyn were catching their breath after their intense skirmish with the zombies. The group was tired but resolute, their resolve strengthened by their shared victory.

As the group sat in the dimly lit gym, the flickering light from their makeshift torches cast long shadows across the walls. The atmosphere was thick with the lingering fear and adrenaline from the fight. Shenny, trying to keep everyone focused, glanced around at her classmates.

"We've been through a lot," she began, her voice steady but low, "but we can't let our guard down. There could be more of them out there."

"Yeah," Daryl added, rubbing the back of his neck. "But at least we know we can handle them. I mean, we did just beat a bunch of zombies using dodgeballs and gym mats."

"Still can't believe that worked," Ransyam muttered, a small smile playing on his lips.

Sherlyn leaned back against the wall, still catching her breath. "Who knew physical education would finally pay off in the apocalypse?"

Evagellina chuckled, shaking her head. "I guess Coach was right. We were training for more than just sports day."

The group laughed, the sound a much-needed balm against the stress and fear that had been building up. But their laughter was cut short by a loud bang from somewhere in the school, followed by the unmistakable sound of glass shattering.

Everyone froze.

"That came from the science wing," Novelyn whispered, her eyes wide with fear.

Shenny was the first to react. "We need to check it out. If something's broken through, we need to know."

"Agreed," Lorenda said, already on her feet. "But we need to be careful. We can't afford any more injuries."

The group gathered their weapons and slowly made their way out of the gym, moving in a tight formation. The hallways were dark, the only light coming from their torches, casting an eerie glow on the lockers and walls.

As they approached the science wing, the air grew colder, and the sound of their footsteps echoed ominously in the empty corridor. The tension was almost suffocating, every creak and distant noise putting the group on edge.

When they reached the source of the noise, they found a shattered window and a trail of blood leading down the hall. The sight sent a chill down everyone's spine.

"What the hell happened here?" Daryl asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"We need to be careful," Shenny warned, her grip tightening on her weapon. "This could be a trap."

"Or it could be one of the survivors," Intan suggested, though her tone was uncertain.

Sherlyn crouched down to examine the blood trail. "It's still fresh. Whatever caused this happened recently."

As they followed the trail, the group found themselves in the school's chemistry lab. The room was dark, but the faint smell of chemicals lingered in the air. The trail led to a locked storage closet, and the group exchanged wary glances.

"Should we open it?" Evagellina asked, her hand hovering over the handle.

Shenny hesitated for a moment before nodding. "We need to know what's in there. But be ready for anything."
