Readers, I apologize if you get confused throughout reading. I have continued this book after over a year, I have lost all of the plot and the book that had the original plot got lost. I am hoping to write a better plot, remove some of the characters. I apologize if you were looking forward to seeing some of the characters throughout the book, but they're going.
For example, Stefan & Damon are gone. We have another sub plot romance with Maddie and Jace instead.
Thanks for your understanding! Here's ur chapter;Nick's POV
I had to get away from the crowds. I know Andy said I wasn't allowed to smoke during this whole thing, but I couldn't help it. I needed a release.
I stared at my feet as they blindly strode through the lawn. It was a quiet evening, the sun was setting, making the sky a beautiful reddish purple. The wind blew against my face, blowing my hair out of my forehead.
I brought the cigarette between my lips and took a deep drag. I closed my eyes as I pulled the cigarette away, exhaling. The smoke flew with the wind and disappeared into the air.
Leaning against the huge stone in the middle of the grass, I unbuttoned the top buttons and untucked my shirt.
Before I could take another drag from my cig, I heard clicking footsteps coming from behind me. I closed my eyes, praying it wasn't Kendall, here to take revenge or stab me in the back. I could already see the headlines; Nick Jonas brutally murdered by stick figure, Kendall Jenner.
I couldn't help but chuckle.
"What're you doing out here?" her voice said softly. I was confused. "I was looking everywhere for you, I thought you'd left..."
Concern laced her voice, which brewed deeper confusion inside of me. Was she faking it? Was she... acting?
"I wanted to get away from the people," I croaked, my voice coming out as hoarse. Clearing it, Kendall noticed the cigarette in between my fingers. She was bewildered.
"Put that out," she said, sounding alarmed.
I chuckled, "don't worry about it, love—"
"No, I mean it, put it out, Nick." She wasn't stammering. I threw it on the ground and smudged it with my shoe, my eyes digging into Kendall's.
"Happy?" I asked. She looked away and nodded. I leaned my head back agains the cold stone. "Why were you looking for me? I thought you hated me."
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, stepping towards me. "Well, I wanted to talk to you. About last night..." she trailed off and I adjusted myself against the rock. Part of me didn't want to hear what she had to say. I didn't want her to know more about me than she already knew.
"If you want me to apologize, I'm sorry to tell you I won't be doing that again," I say, carefully, trying to not be rude.
She shook her head, her fingers tracing the hem of my suit. "It's not that... Jace told me about how you found it difficult to open up to people," she said, her voice small. I clenched my jaw.
"Whatever he told you—"
"No please, Nick let me finish," Kendall said, her voice sounded exasperated, begging me to hear her out. I stayed quiet. "I should've been smart enough to know you weren't the type to be genuine about your feelings," she started off. "I shouldn't have gotten mad at you, Nick. I realise that you were just... listening to Andy, I guess."
I sighed, and my hands hovered over her cheeks. I didn't know whether to touch her or to not.
Surprisingly, she laid her head against my hand and held it there. "I need you to be honest with me, Nick," she started again. I nodded. "And in return I will be honest with you."
The world seemed to pause again. The wind did not blow and there was complete silence between us.
"Is there anything at all between us? Even a spark? If not a spark then... were you willing to light it, last night?"
I couldn't help it, I chuckled. "Baby that is a lot of questions," I breathed out.
Even in the dark I knew she was red.
I pulled her closer to me and readjusted myself against the wall again. "How about this... I'll answer your questions with one." I had her attention now. "If I... kissed you right now, would you kiss me back?"
She was quiet.
And in a quiet voice, she said, "If you mean it."
I didn't waste a split second. I crashed my lips onto hers, my hand still on her cheek. Her hands were entangled in my hair, grasping and pulling me deeper into the kiss. Her lips parted I took my chance to devour her mouth, my tongue exploring deep inside her.
I brought my hands to her hips and turned her around, pushing her back against the stone. She moaned on the impact and I moved from her mouth to her jaws, kissing them and leaving a wet trail down her neck to her collarbone.
"Stop—" she gasped, pushing my head away from her collarbone, probably afraid I'd done further down.
I pulled away, the kiss leaving me breathless and immediately craving for more. Her chest was heaving, her face was a hot mess. I reached over to graze her face with my thumb and tucked a stray hair behind her ear.
She giggled and rubbed her thumb against my bottom lip. "You've got my lipstick on you," she says, giggling.
I smiled. "If I'm being honest, this was the best kiss I've had in a long time," I said. I meant it.
Kendall looked again, blushing. "You re saying all the right things... are you sure you're not lying to me again?"
I was stunned, "what no, baby—" I tilted her chin up to look at me. "I mean it."

Kendall's POV
I smoothened out my skirt and rubbed my finger on the corner of my lips, wiping off the stray lipstick. I found myself repeatedly glancing at the side of his face while we walked, side by side, hand in hand.
I've never felt so alive.
I could still feel his lips on mine; his smoking taste. It was like drugs; I wanted to reach over, grab his collar and kiss him again.
"You're still thinking about that kiss, aren't you?" Nick's cheeky voice bring me back to reality and I flushed.
I rolled my eyes at him, which made him laugh. "I'm gonna remember that kiss for a long time."
Nick smirks and glances around. He then jokingly says, "Dyou think anyone saw that? Would've been a waste if no one did—"
I glared at him. "Let's hope no one did. Can't be seen kissing a delinquent."
Nick brought his hands to his chest, acting hurt. "Well, I'm sorry— won't kiss you again then."
"No can do," I say, giggling. "I like kissing this delinquent."
He grumbled, making me laugh. "Don't call me that."
We made our way into the ballroom again. People were dancing and soft music was playing. When we arrived back at our table, I found Neo sitting alone, playing with an action figure of Batman.
"Hey, Neo," nick says, ruffling his hair. "Where's Jace?"
Neo pointed at the dance floor. There stood Jace with his hands on a girls hips. Her hands her locked around his shoulders and they were swaying in place. Nick whistled, laughing while I squinted. "Is that Maddie???"
