Om Singh Rathore (also called Bullet Baba and Om Banna) is a folk deity who has a temple called Om Banna Dham in the Pali district near Jodphur, India.
Hundreds of devotees come daily to the temple to pray for a safe journey.
On the 5th of May 1988, Om Singh Rajput was traveling from Bandi to Chotila when he suddenly lost control of his motorbike and hit a tree.
Om Singh Rathore died on the spot, and his motorbike landed in a nearby ditch. The morning after the accident, the police took the motorbike to the police station, however, the bike randomly disappeared. The police were baffled by this. They found the bike in the same spot where the accident had happened - in the ditch.
Thinking that someone had played a prank on them, the police emptied the fuel tank and put the bike under lock. Yet again, the bike had disappeared. Upon searching, they found the bike in the ditch again.
Legend says that the bike kept returning to the spot where the accident occurred.
The locals viewed this as a miracle and began to worship the "Bullet Bike". This news spread to the nearby villages and the people built a temple for Bullet Baba and his bike. It is believed that Om Singh Rathore's spirit always helps distressed travelers.
Every day, worshipers come to the temple to pay their respects and leave offerings. It is said that whoever doesn't stop and pray to him in the temple has a dangerous journey ahead.
