Chapter 13

He won't picked the one where either of them will live. He couldn't live without Jeff after all this. Certainly he doesn't want Jeff to see him dead again. This is for the better.

“Die together..” he muttered quietly. Bible soften his gaze at Jeff, savouring everything. He had made his final decision.

He grabs another gun pointing at Jeff's forehead and place another gun under his chin. Jeff let out a shaky breath before using his mind to tossed away the guns from Bible's hand. He grabbed both Bible's wrist, shaking the human “WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!”.

A streams of tears flows down his cheek. “Can't you see why I did that Jeff? What you expect me to do?! You know I don't want to choose either of us because I know damn well I'll be alone in the end!” he burst out.

Jeff cupped Bible's face, regretting for his sudden outburst “Hey..Hey..It will be alright...I promise it won't be long till I came back again. Maybe I'll be human next”. Jeff smiled as if he could imagine waiting for his next reincarnation and excitedly went to go find Bible again.

As a vampire, he had live long enough. His life filled more with regrets than happiness. All those years, it hurts and eating him slowly inside. But all this time he spent with present Bible here, it healed him and for sure he'll cherish all of their moments.

A pity that they can't stay together longer in this lifetime.

Taking that this will be his last day. He have one thing he want to do. To make Bible his. The awaited proposal from 500 years ago.

The one he imagined were beautiful. They were at flower park. He would surprise Bible by getting on his one knee. His mouth would deliver loving sweet words, how Bible meant to him. As he do it the other visitors and the flowers would be their witness. After the four famous words and a yes, he will place the custom made ring into Bible's finger. Having teary kiss and hug as they began a new phase of their relationship.

His imaginary dream burst when a loud noises came. An army of vampire hunters came surrounding them. Bible jumped into protective mode in front of Jeff. “No, don't you dare come near. I won't hesitate to kill you all".

The hunters look at each other, before launching an attack towards Bible. All agrees on the order they received beforehand.

Bible grabbed his daggers on his pocket starting a war with his friends. His skills and agility made Bible able to beat them down easily. Jeff assist Bible when they will come on his blind spots. He swipe his hands out, an invisible whip sending them all towards the wall. Bible slashed his friend’s throat and turned his back to fight the rest only to find dead bodies scattered on the ground where Bible stood. He panted and gave a thankful smile at his lover.

The vampire smiled back and his ear picked silent gunshot. He could see few bullets coming behind Bible. Jeff pushed himself up, running towards Bible using his body as a shield to protect Bible from it. Several bullets punctured his back, he screamed.

“Aagghhh!!”

Bible gasped and catches Jeff in his arms. “J-Jeff!!” he looked around to see where the bullets came from. Then a burning shot penetrate through his shoulder. It wasn't just ordinary bullets. Anti-vampire bullet. “Ahh!” Bible winced, he collapsed on the ground unable to support both of their weight.

“Ngghh..Bible..” Jeff moaned out. Seeing Bible got hurt more painful than the pain on his back. “Jeff..Hang on please...” the hunter cradle Jeff close to his body dragging them behind a shelf.

“Son..” Bible looked up, noticing his earpiece is on. “I-I..Luke! please.. Please don't hurt him...I beg you!” he pleaded hoping for his guardian to pity him. It was silence on the other end before another order came to his earpiece.
“Make sure you do it right or next one will be on the head”.
