Chapter 5

Bible's notice something interesting about this handsome vampire lately. He never picked any flowers besides red rose and it will always be the same amount. 19 stalks of roses, always 19. 'I will wait forever for you'. Bible wonder who Jeff waiting for. Unrequited love?. He couldn't possibly wait for someone who hurt him. There's a ring. Maybe he can try to ask.

"You always come to buy roses, someone surely love roses doesn't she?" Bible smiled noted on the ring on his finger. Jeff seems suprised at the question."...He does..He really loves it till the end" Jeff said his eyes shown tinge of sorrow as he looked at the bouquet. "Oh..I'm sorry for your lost". Jeff shakes his head "No, don't be".

'Meeting you filled my void for missing him' he speak with his eyes.

"Then..umm if you like to join I do flower arrangement class too if you interest in languages of flowers. It can be languages of love too as some said. You might find new love..maybe" Bible suggested.

"Sure, I would love too" Jeff quickly agrees.

The beginning of class, Bible explains and teach about flower arrangement to Jeff which he able to catch quickly thanks to his late love who dragged him to every flower shops he could find. Many florist gave free information about each flowers and it stuck in his mind till now. The meaning of flowers never change.

Sharing the same interest and understanding about flowers pulled them close despite their differences. Jeff were among easy to be with kind of vampire. They even move to calling each other first name.

Bible would pick Jeff as the best student because his flower arrangement skills improve weeks by weeks. Even the theme that Jeff use was always romantic. Admiration, longing, missing you, remember me.. 'His late spouse sure is lucky to have Jeff as his husband' Bible thought, smiling at Jeff's focused face. Today is their one on one session.

"I think it will fit right..here" Bible moves Jeff's hand to place the peonies next to the tulips while adjusting few leaves around them.

He can't help but thought if it's for him, he can't hide how touched he is to interpret every flower bouquets Jeff did. The hidden message that is so beautiful he is sure whoever the recipient for that bouquet would cries when they know the meaning of each flowers picked.

Today Jeff picked peonies and tulips which mean confession of a secret admirer wants to tell to the recipient about renewal of their warmth, love and hope.

Bible clasped his hand looking at his arrangement "Jeff why don't you try to interpret the meaning of my flowers". Jeff went to sit beside him, their arms rubbing against each other. "Hmmm looking at your choices of flowers here heliotrope tells about eternal love and devotion" Jeff were explaining in that deep, attractive voice for each meaning of the flower picked by Bible.

Bible listened closely and his heart skip a beat everytime Jeff made eye contacts with him. Jeff's voice seems far to his ear. All he focuses on was his face.

"White gardenia for pure love and respect..So what you.." Jeff's voice slowed down and his head turned towards Bible. He could see Bible's pupil dilated and his white skin started to tint with pink on his cheek. 'Ah he still look amazing, everything so perfect'. Jeff move his face closer and placed a kiss on the corner of Bible's lip.

Jeff keep his eyes closed and Bible's heartbeat could burst. The cold lips on his heating skin feels anew. Bible blinks slowly, didn't dare to move his head. He just froze. 'His eyelashes so long, beautiful..' he thought. Like Jeff could hear him he opened his eyes slowly and eyed straight into Bible's. Staring into his soul, whispering his desire for him. Drawing Bible in to play with fire.

The warm lip parted slightly and Jeff pulls back. What he did is wrong, too fast. Bible's fingers touches where Jeff's lip had been, blinking his eyes 'What just happen?'.

"Oohh..?!!" He stood up quickly, knocking his chair down in the process. Bible panicked and he steps few feet away from Jeff. His shocked face meet with Jeff wronged looks. Few seconds of awkward silence passed by until Bible decide to break it "I-uhmm I need to end the class.. you can go. I will clean up everything".

Jeff looked hurt, he expected Bible to return his kiss. Maybe too rushed. He went to take his belonging and made his way to the door "I'll see you soon..maybe" he waited for Bible's reply but the human looks away, too shy over what just happen.

"Maybe I shouldn't have done that. I scared him away now. Well done Jeff" he muttered to himself as he head home.

*Phone rings*

Bible looks at his phone to see who the caller is and it displayed 'Boss'

He answered the call "Here Sir"

"Bible come to my office tomorrow, we need to discuss something" before Bible could reply Luke hanged up. Troubled feelings crawls in and he hope it is something good.

Bible knocked the door feeling anxious as he waited for Luke to grant his entry "Come in"  Bible twist the door knob and breathe in as he step inside. Luke motion him to sit in front him. Gloomy aura resides the room and it made him uncomfortable in his seat. He noticed an envelope laying next to Luke's seat. Usually there's folder for next mission but no folder which means this is not about hunting then.

Luke grabbed the envelope and pull out its contain, throwing pictures of him and Jeff on the table. Bible gripped his pants, sensing that he is in trouble.

"What is this Bible?" Luke asked crossing his arms. "He's my customer...I know he is a vampire but I ma-". He stopped when Luke raised his palm.

"Jeff Satur, 700 years old vampire. Singer at the bar, he came here 10 years ago. His records is clean" Luke's stare bore down towards Bible. "I told you that when you are in this business you must be careful especially about being close to one. I don't want them to know about our associations. We can't trust them no matter what".

Bible bowed his head "I know sir..but we're just friend" Luke massage his forehead and pulled out a picture of Jeff kissing him "I'm asking you as a guardian, Bible. Care to explain this to me?" He asked in soft tone. Bible look at that photo his heart jump and melted at this. It's still fresh in his mind. Jeff and the kiss.

'Focus!' Bible shakes it off his head. "It was an accident..there was nothing going on with us". Luke closed his eyes contemplating whether to believe or not "I trust you, son and I hope it just stays there".

"I know...I'll make sure it won't cross the line" Bible gave his words. Luke nodded and went towards Bible. "Good" he reached out and pat his shoulder. "You are excuse". Bible stand and bowed at Luke before heading towards the door.

Carl leaned against the wall waiting for Bible. He planned to grab lunch with him. When he heard the door opened, he wave his hands at Bible. Carl tilt his head, curious why his partner looks dejected. 'Hmmm I wonder what happen'.

"Yo, everything good" he wrapped his arm on Bible's shoulder. He looked at his friend and sighed. "Remember I told you that I don't understand why human fall for vampire?" he asked as he walk forward. Carl nod his head following beside Bible "And I said I won't walk to that path?" another nod "Yeah..I remember how yo-..." Carl went quiet, understand where this is going.

He snapped his head to Bible "Nooooooooo" and Bible gave a weird smile "You got that right".

"Bib y'know we can't be in love with vampire... The contract...You should know that" Bible sighed. He doesn't know what to do about this.
