Valeria's POV
The music wasn't bad, but it could've been better. We drank a little before showing up to the dance which is what helped us get through all the terrible music that they played. The fact that we were expected to dance to Taylor Swift songs was crazy, but we had a good time anywhere we went. I saw Olivia head outside with Michael a couple of minutes ago.
"Voy al bano," I told my friends.
"Oh, I'll go with," Brenda said. "Do you guys need to go?" The girls said no so we made our way out of the stuffy gym.
We walked past kids getting air outside too. I saw Olivia laughing with her date and friends. How was it possible for her to look so good? I didn't mean to stare, but I guess I was because then her eyes locked with mine. When I realized I had gotten caught looking at her, I looked away. Did I really have to use the bathroom? Of course not, but I couldn't help but keep an eye on her and Michael.
Once the dance was over, there was word of an after party at Mark's house. We were indecisive if we wanted to go, but ultimately decided to head that way.
"Wait, I'm hungry...lets stop at McDonalds," Nicole said.
"Oh my god yes, especially if we're going to keep drinking, let's eat something," Nessa added.
An hour and a half later, we were parking down the street from Mark's place. We had a little bit of tequila left, so we each drank more before we went inside. I wasn't tipsy yet, but I definitely felt my stomach starting to warm up. Inside, everyone was already pretty lit. The music was better than the music at the dance, the vibes were good, I was ready to have a good time.
Everyone was in their homecoming outfits and they were drinking like there was no tomorrow. We found a bottle of vodka and started drinking too. My friends and I were actually really good dancers so we tended to get a lot of attention, especially when ass shaking was involved. We were next to Olivia's friends and I was happy to see her here. We all took a shot together, which was a rare moment where both our friend groups were actually hanging out together.
Carlos was trying to dance with me, and to my surprise he was a really good dancer. He's been an awesome date, and the alcohol was making me feel the music even more. We were dancing sensually together and I liked it.
I liked feeling him pressed against me, I liked swaying to the music together, I liked feeling his hands on me, I closed my eyes and for a moment I saw blue.
By now, I was definitely tipsy and I needed a moment to get myself together. Nessa and I went outside to get some air. She was already drunk, she was drinking faster than I was. When we headed back inside, I saw Liv getting close to Michael, it seemed like he was more into it than she was. Why couldn't I stop staring?
"Lets take another shot!" I exclaimed, knowing I only suggested it to get Olivia away from Michael. "Liv come here!" I held my hand out for her. "Here," I poured her a drink and proceeded to pour everyone else one too. "CHEERS!" We all raised our shot glasses and poured them back. One of my favorite songs started playing so we went a little crazy. Olivia and I took selfies, I recorded my friends, wanting to capture these moments forever. How was it possible for Liv to still look so good? You couldn't even tell if she was sweating or not.
Things were becoming a little more blurry and I was feeling the effects of the alcohol, so was almost everyone in the room.
"Come with me to the bathroom," I said in Liv's ear. She nodded and I grabbed her hand and led the way upstairs where we quickly found a bathroom. "Ugh thank god," I said as I peed and Liv laughed as she fixed her makeup in the mirror. "I'm so glad you're here."
