Valeria's POV
I wasn't planning to show up to the party. We lost our game by two points, I wasn't in the mood to go out anywhere. My friends do such a great job trying to cheer me up. They convinced me to go out for a little, but I didn't know they meant go to the same party I saw Olivia was at on Snapchat. When we arrived, we found her friends but Liv was no where to be found.
"She disappeared a while ago, I don't know where she went" Morgan said looking around the room.
"I'll be right back, I'm gonna use the bathroom" I told them.
Get it together Valeria I repeated to myself while I was in the bathroom.
Why was I even here? What did I want to get out of being at the same party as Liv? We haven't spoken all week, and that's mostly my fault. I know what I said hurt her but since then, she's been ignoring my messages. When we went back to the kitchen, Liv was standing there. I'll never get over how she always looks so good. She looked a little flustered so I gave her a small smile. I was hesitant to go over to her, but then Sam called me over.
"Val" Sam exclaimed. "Come here, let's take a shot!"
"No thank you I'm not drinking tonight."
"Oh c'mon" she handed me one anyways.
"Fine, just one" I said.
"Liv here" she handed her one too
"Oh no I'm done for tonight" she said with a small chuckle.
"Okay why are you guys being so boring stop it" Ashley said and gave the shot to Liv again.
"Cheers bitches" Morgan said and the vodka hit in a really bad way, it took everything in me not to gag.
"I'll be back, I'm going to the bathroom" Liv announced to her friends then swiftly left. I watched her leave.
"I'll be back" I put down my drink and followed her. Liv was entering the bathroom and I went in after her, closing the door behind me.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She looked at me confused.
"Why are you ignoring my messages?" I asked.
"A-are you serious right now?"
"Yes Liv" I paused, what was the right thing to say? "I'm sorry, I know what I said on Monday wasn't fair" her eyes did not leave mine, urging me to keep going. "I shouldn't have said it that way, that wasn't what I meant."
"Then what did you mean?"
"I just needed time to think."
"Then why didn't you just say that?"
"Because I'm an idiot" I admitted, "Truth is I still don't know what to feel and it's not fair to ice you out like that. I care so much about you Liv" she didn't say anything. Of course she was leaving this up to me. "I can't stop thinking about that kiss" I looked up at her feeling embarrassed and vulnerable. "I don't know what it means, but I can't keep going another day without talking to you" I reached out and grabbed her hand. Her blue eyes were shinning and I pulled her towards me.
"I can't stop thinking about the kiss either" she softly admitted. A small smile creeped across my face.
"I've only thought about doing it again" I admitted. I closed the space between us until we were only inches from each other. My hand went up her arm, reached her neck, and stayed at the nape of her neck. She looked at me in complete awe. I looked at her lips then back at her. I leaned in and closed the space between us. Our second kiss was just as gentle as the first. Feeling her lips on mine felt so right, so good. I wanted more. This time I tried to deepen the kiss, but she pulled away.
