Valeria's POV

By the 8th day in Mexico, I was more than ready to go home. I missed my bed, my shower, my friends, and most of all I missed Olivia.

My dad picked up my mom, brother and I from the airport when we arrived on Thursday. Olivia texted that she'd be busy this evening since she was going to a festival with her friends. I was a bit disappointed I wouldn't be able to see her as soon as I got back, but I hope she'd have fun. After I got settled at home, I just chilled in bed and scrolled through social media.

Liv's friends posted a few pictures and videos from the festival. They were at a country festival I had never heard of before. Seeing Liv's outfit and how good she looked, I was hooked on watching anything as soon as they posted. Liv was wearing light wash jean shorts, a cute cropped tank top, red boots and a cowboy hat. I honestly couldn't fathom that I was so interested in someone that was culturally so different from me. Liv was sweet though, texting me throughout the festival.

I think I'm going to sleep, i'm so tired and my bed is too comfy right now..enjoy the festival hermosa - I told her.

I miss you, can I come over later when I get home?

Are you sure? It won't be too late?

Not at all, can i sleep over? - She texted and I couldn't help but smile.

Of course, see you later, text me when you're on your way home

I woke up because my phone was ringing non stop.

"Hello?" I said half asleep.

"Hii" it was Liv "I'm so sorry to wake you, I just got home but if you're still sleeping I don't have to come over."

"No, no, you can still come over" I said waking up completely.

"Are you sure?"

"Yess" I chuckled.

"Okay, I'm going to take a quick shower then I'll be over in like 20."

"Okay see you in a bit" I hung up and then hopped in the shower myself.

30 minutes later, she texted me that she was outside. Everyone in my house was already asleep, so right when I opened the front door, we gave each other a huge embrace.

"Hey" I said as I hung on to her.

"Hii" she said.

"Everyone's asleep so we'll just be quiet" I told her as we made our way to my room. "How was the festival?" I asked as I quietly closed my room door.

"It was fun" she sat on my bed, "You're not going to unpack for weeks huh?" she referenced my half opened suitcase that was on the floor.

"Mm probably not" I said and walked over to where she sat on my bed. "I really missed you, I'm glad you're here."

"I missed you so much" she said and put her hands on my lower back and lightly pulled me towards her so now I was in between her legs as she sat on my bed. I put my arms on her shoulders, a huge smile on my face. "I'm sorry I woke you up" she added.

"No, I'm glad you did because you're here" I lowered myself to give her a kiss. She kissed me back and it confirmed what I had been feeling. That I REALLY missed her. We laid in my bed and since Liv wanted to know all about my trip, we scrolled through my camera roll and I told her everything I could remember. I don't know how long we've been talking, all I knew is that I eventually passed out.

...

I still felt exhausted Monday morning. I stayed home the entire weekend cleaning and resting so I was excited to see my friends. We met up in the parking lot before class and caught up. We barely touched the surface talking about our breaks when the warning bell rang.
