"Good afternoon, Mr. Kim, you're here today?" Rejin, the head servant, asked as she approached Seokjin, who was waiting for her in the lounge of the Jeon mansion.

"It's Jin to you, ajumma, did you forget?" Jin replied with a hint of complaint as he stood up from the couch and hugged Rejin.

"No, I didn't forget. It's just been a while since I last saw you," she explained with a smile, gently patting his back.

"That's because you don't visit the safe palace as often anymore," he said, pulling away from the hug.

"Maybe, because the mansion needs me, and Master Jeon needs me here more, so I rarely get the chance," she replied, noticing how Jin's expression fell at the mention of Jungkook.

"Where is he? I came as soon as I heard about the incident. I couldn't believe it. I need to see him and apologize. I should never have gone on that vacation... He was in the hospital, and I wasn't there to take care of him," Jin said, his already sorrowful eyes welling up with tears as he rambled on, deeply regretting his decision to leave at such a crucial time.

Rejin sighed, pursing her lips as she gently patted his shoulder to comfort him.

"You couldn't have known something like this would happen. None of us did. That boy played all of us for fools. But our master is strong-he'll recover quickly, I believe that. But I'm worried..." she trailed off with another sigh.

"Worried about what?" Jin asked, his brows furrowing as he tensed up.

"He's trapped in a web of betrayal, Jin. I've never seen him so silent. It's like he's either planning something too big or he's too exhausted to fight anymore. I'm afraid the police might win this time. The commissioner general is here too, I don't know what's going to happen today," she informed him, her words hitting Jin like a cold, harsh blow.

Namjoon is here himself? Jin was left in a dilemma.

"Commissioner Kim Namjoon is here?" Jin asked, his brows furrowing with concern. Rejin nodded again.

"He's in the master's office," she informed him.

"M-May I go there, ajumma? Please?" Jin pleaded, almost begging. Rejin couldn't refuse him.

She nodded hesitantly and Jin quickly strode toward the lift, leaving his belongings on the couch. Rejin watched his retreating back until the lift doors closed.

When Jin reached the floor where Jungkook's office was located, the first thing he noticed was Taehyung pacing anxiously in front of the large wooden door.

"Tae?" Jin whispered, but in the silence, Taehyung heard him. He turned and saw Jin standing there.

"Jin hyung..." Tae murmured to himself, and before he knew it, Jin rushed forward, pulling him into a tight hug. Taehyung clung to him on the verge of tears, overwhelmed by the tense situation that had taken hold of the mansion since the commissioner's arrival.

"Jin hyung, I don't know what to do... Hyungie..." Taehyung cried, hugging him tightly like a koala. Jin could only comfort him, gently patting his back, knowing how precious Jungkook was to everyone.

But as much as Jin tried to soothe Taehyung, a surge of anger boiled within him. He was furious with Namjoon. He had hoped his boyfriend would listen to him and would use his rationality. But instead, he was here, undoubtedly for reasons they already feared.

"These are all the evidence for the case, along with the other allegations the police is taking advantage to put on Jungkook. Nothing is hidden from you, Joon. You can go through it all to your satisfaction," Hobi said, stepping back to stand behind the head chair where Jungkook usually sat, ever loyal to his brother. Namjoon remained silent, processing the situation.
